This week Morgan Zegers is joined by Connor Clegg, and they’re taking a deep-dive history lesson into the Articles of Confederation and Federalist Paper No. 15.
The Articles of Confederation were rushed and weak, and part of that comes from people’s apprehension of centralized government at the time of its conception in 1777. However, Federalist Paper No. 15 is the first in a series of papers to explain the weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation and how to strengthen the US on the world stage.

Morgan Zegers is back in the studio, this week joined by Connor Clegg, to discuss Federalist 9, Alexander Hamilton's continued response to the Anti-Federalists. Hamilton uses Federalist 9 to emphasize the importance of establishing a system of checks and balances in order to ensure that the Union remains intact and functioning smoothly, while also safeguarding the nation against domestic tyranny and conflicts.

Morgan is once again in the studio, this week breaking down Federalist 6 written by Alexander Hamilton.
By advocating for the benefits of a union between the American states, Hamilton believed that commercial ties between separate republics or States were not enough for stability or cooperation. He summarily voices his support for a more extensive Union. In doing so, he hopes to downplay the possibility of dissension between states, and advocates for the creation of a Union of states.
