  • 004 - Meeting Phillip O'Riley
Host Kimberly Henrie went out in search of dna information and found a long-lost relative that's been right before her eyes all this time. While pursuing his dreams in film and television, Phillip O'Riley has worked on well over 100 projects as an on-camera background actor in high profile movies and tv shows. After securing a degree in film, O'Riley has also worked behind the scenes in production, directing and assisting on a variety of projects, including a film for the 48 Hour Film Project. https://www.48hourfilm.com

While breaking into the film industry is a struggle and challenge, that doesn’t provide a steady paycheck, O’Riley says he’s committed to his craft and prefers the ability to follow his passion over his previous steady paycheck. He plans to pursue his dream of becoming a mainstream actor so as not to have any regrets at the end of his life.

O’Riley was inspired to seek out dna testing after working as a production assistant for an episode of the PBS show Finding Your Roots, featuring Michael Moore. He wanted to learn about his ethnic heritage as well as any health conditions he might not be aware of. What he got along with that is a whole bunch of distant relatives he’d never heard of before.

Check out this trailer for the new film Captain Marvel. You can spot Phillip O’Riley briefly at 00:23.

  • 003- Uplevel Your Life by Upleveling Your Closet with Kristin Kelley
"I only have everything in my closet that I love to wear" - Kristin Kelly, Styled and Inspired

Do you ever look at your closet in the morning and think "I have nothing to wear?" Haven't we all? Kristin says she hears it from clients every day. In this episode Kristin will teach us to track our personal style and embark on a closet cleanse. The result will be a closet full of clothes you love and feel confident in, empowering you to take on the day!

**Men - if you could use a little more confidence in your wardrobe, this 100% applies to you too!

Kristin says when you love all the pieces in your closet, it takes the overwhelm out of getting dressed which allows you to start the day out better. When you struggle with your wardrobe, it's akin on an emotional level to an identity crisis. You want to walk out of your house feeling confident, feeling beautiful - finding a way to do that will change everything for you.

We are not trying to cover up the things we don't like, says Kristin. You want to pare your closet down to pieces you love and that fit and show off the parts of your body you love. Then begin to add in new pieces to build outfits.

    Tidbits:

Dress your body, love your body for the way that it is today.
If it doesn't fit, but you love it, put it away in a box or bag and revisit in a few months.
When you can love, dress and accept your body the way it is right now, it will help you reach your goals.
Feeling confident is a big mental piece of reaching your goals.
Live in today. Not in the past, not in the future, but live for today.
Question to ask for each piece: Does.it.make.me.feel.good?

Other tips include ways to make you look longer and leaner, who those crew neck styles are ideal for and how to best wear your Ugly Christmas Sweater.

    What is my style?
It's about you, what you wanna wear, what you want to project to the world.
Track what you wear for a week
Kristin will send you her special tracking sheet if you want! (email [email protected])
You will learn what you like to wear, what feels comfortable to you

And, YES, you CAN wear white all year long

  • 001- Inaugural with Elizabeth Henrie
A new podcast experience exploring all the juiciness of living the good life. From champagne & caviar to digging your toes in the sand and the joy of children's giggles. Join Kimberly and company and learn how to turn the little moments into experiences of a lifetime!

In this inaugural episode of Living the Good Life, veteran broadcaster Kimberly Henrie introduces the concept of the show with the tag lines: See good. Do good. Live good. Collaborator Elizabeth Henrie joins in this mother/daughter chat about compassion, little ways to bring joy to a person's life and the ultimate princess bath.

Kimberly explains the concept of the show is to focus on the good in a world that the negative is so easy to find and stress is rampant. She talks about contributing to the global economy of kindness and the importance of self-care.

The ladies reminisce about using the good china for mac n cheese dinners and drinking water from a wine glass as ways to elevate the simple to special moments.

Elizabeth shares a story she observed unfold this week about unexpected compassion and human-kindness, where going the extra mile made a monumental difference in a mother's day. Doctors get a little love in this story. We are reminded that doctors are people too ;-)

Kimberly shares some special examples of acts of kindness, such as receiving flowers and freshly baked bread. Both ladies share their affinity for creating special gifts for people in their path.

Who doesn't love a holiday cocktail to put you in a great mood, whether at a party or at home alone? Elizabeth shares her favorites to set a festive scene for the winter months. She also shares how she and her sister began the tradition as children at home. Festive cocktails are an awesome way to live the good life!

Another must for good living? A princess level hot bath, complete with fragrant fruit and flowers. Elizabeth says this bath is even works princess magic on 60-year old men! Let us know if you try it!
