Freestyle Friday – The Distraction Network

Season 3 Tekashi 6ix9ine … Oh… He Snitching Again!!

HEADNOTES:

OMG!!! Do they even make gangsters like they used to?  What about rappers?  Do they make rappers like they used to?  How about fans?  Do they make fans like they used to?

The answer to all of those questions, apparently, is NOPE!!!!

Tekashi 6ix9ine is a rapper who maybe or maybe not be a 9 Trey Gangsta Blood.  The stories are so switched up and turned around, it’s starting to get hard to follow.  What we do know now is that not only is Tekashi 6ix9ine out here filming videos of his ‘friends’ robbing people, he out here telling.  Tekashi is out here needing the police to understand the words that are coming out of his mouth.  He took those rainbow teeth out, put in some auto-tune teeth, and started singing.  He has really put the new definition in Rapper Turned Singer and I think he owes T-Pain some money.

Holidae and Printz laugh over this and a cup of coffee.  Join these brothers and get a laugh or two in as well.

Season 3 Discussing Antonio Brown

HEADNOTES:

This week in Freestyle Friday, Holidae X and Printz talk about the cultural events popping off behind Antonio Brown.  Known as possibly the best receiver in the National Football League, Mr. Brown has been in the news for everything not positive for the past 6 months, with things ramping up over the past couple of weeks.

Going from the Pittsburg Steelers, to the Oakland Raiders, to the New England Patriots, to home, has been a journey for Antonio Brown.  It all started with trouble behind the scenes which sent him off on a trade.  Afterwards, there was a cryogenic foot crisis, then a helmet crisis.  After some derogatory language towards his GM, he was cut from the team and joined the Patriots where he was served with rape and assault charges before he could cross the ‘t’s and dot the ‘I’s on his new contract.  The New England Patriots tried to rock with him a little, but more allegations ended up splitting the team from the player.  We are now waking to Antonio Brown wildin’ on Twitter and accusing everyone of trying to pull him down.

A Man Called Tez: Twitter – @CalledTez

Headnotes:

Holidae X and Printz (formally known as Man Called Tez) sit down and have a conversation about Jay Z and his decision to join the NFL executives to enact change in the community.  Do they think this was the. right move? Does this cause conflict between what Kaepernick and his movement. The conversation moves to the basics of how to protest and why is it that the black community doesn’t get the same respect as other people as color.  Lastly, this conversation takes a turn to Popeyes and the craze that came out of nowhere and gave a marketing team a hell of a bonus.

HEADNOTES:

Sometimes, life hits you.  Sometimes life skips over you, and sometimes… you are life.  Today Holidae and A Man Called Tez talks about an aspect of life. Is it the money that makes the world go around?  Is it gangsters that make the world move?  Maybe, but Holidae has some theories he would like to share with A Man Called Tez (that’s his whole name).

Join these two as they try to figure out why the Crabs in a Bucketmight just be the reason why the world moves.

HEADNOTES:  Holidae and “A Man Called Tez” listen to a song Holidae heard from another podcast he listens to (Don’t worry, Holidae asked for permission to rate the song since it was not sent to him).  Together, the opinions and discussion about this song keeps Holidae and “A Man Called Tez” going back and forth about what they like, and do not like about the song.

Share a moment and two with the guys and listen to, and review “Faster Forward” by S.E.L.O.R.M.

HEADNOTES:

Before it truly caught on.  Holidae and “A Man Named Tez” Reviewed the song “’Ol Time Road” by Lil Nas X.  The two laughed and joked about the popularity of the song as well as the staying power of the song.  It has been over a month now and the song is stronger than they both had anticipated, even though they both though it was a good song.  The perfect controversy, the perfect video, the perfect output of this song lead to the perfect feature.  One Wrangler contract down and it seems as if Lil Nas X is going to be a fixture in the Zeitgeist of American Culture.

Also, as usual, we probably mentioned Pastor Troy, Have fun with this.

Holidae and Tez Discuss the way Ayesha Curry isn’t getting any looks.  Is it just a different culture where men respect women’s relation more than women will respect a man’s relationship with women?  Sounds like a difference in the way sexes see relationships.

Also, as usual, there is a mention of Pastor Troy, an Donald Trump.  Have fun with this.
