HEADNOTES!!!!

Whether you have 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8, Ms in your bank account, or are at home cooking up some of that good ‘ol gumbo, you might notice a trend in the rappers today.  No, Holidae isn’t talking about the mumbling, or that most of the time they aren’t making any sense anymore.  What Holidae is talking about is the two most noted gangster rappers are behind bars at the time of his recording.  21 Savage and Tekashi 69 are in two completely different situations, however, both experiencing pivotal situations at the moment.  21 Savage seems to be in legal trouble with immigration.  Tekashi 69 is in the middle of trying to be racketeering charges by mitigating the sentences with the art of story telling.  How will these events shape their futures?

Join Holidae as he talks about the festival and the cautions he took when hearing about the festival he couldn’t afford to go to in the first place.  Is this a conspiracy for Ja Rule to have used Billy McFarland a fall guy with everything falling to pieces?  Maybe everyone was scammed to think this party was going on.  No one knows it but Ja and Billy however.

It is the end of the year.  That special time where we all spend time with our families and friends.  For media personnel, however, this is the time for them to be lazy.  They do things like top 10 lists, and their favorite things.  Holidae refuses to do that to you.  Today, he is being even lazier… 3 songs he think may just be overrated.

Tekashi 69 seems to be the topic of conversation for everyone.  Either people think his music is horrible, or they think he’s an up and coming great.  Either way… HE’S CURRENTLY IN JAIL!!!! Gang life has finally caught up to him.  In this Bonus Episode, Holidae checks in and gives his opinions on a few factors.

Welcome to Season 2, Episode 8 of Freestyle Friday! Today, Holidae encounters the song “Stale Biskets”. This old school type of song with lyrics about life and rap vice the glitz and glamour of being rich. Listen as Holidae describes the feeling he gets from the song as it reminds him of pure, 90s Hip Hop music.
