Exclusive: Donald J. Trump answers a random phone call from DB Cooper Junior, inmate 10921 at Guantanamo Bay Prison. The. two discuss everything from deep state documents, Jeffrey Epstein, and how Cooper will take over the Charlie Kirk Show when he's finally released from prison when Trump pardons him like a January 6 patriot.
We also get into how free-thinking people are turning to the right because Democrats continue to be completely unforgiving and intolerant of intolerance. This "content moderation," as Ezra Klein calls it, is pushing people away from the Left, because independents don't want their thoughts to be controlled. The Right got a taste of the negative power of content moderation when they decried hate speech after the Charlie Kirk assassination, having previously been proponents of hate speech.
Pete Hegseth and Stephen Miller also make an appearance as we talk about the new requirement that Pentagon reporters sign a pledge to promise not to report anything without authorization. Ironically, in the far-right outlet the Daily Wire, they cite an unnamed source in a story about how using unnamed sources will get you the boot! But as we all know, this rule is for people actually doing journalism, not for Trump's well-oiled propaganda machine, of which the Daily Wire is clearly a part.
And don't forget, the government is shut down under Trump.... again. The first time it happened, the government was closed for 35 days, the longest shutdown in American history, costing $11 billion, including $3 billion that will never be recovered, according to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office. This has happened even though Trump said a few years back that a government shutdown made the president look bad, because "he's the one who has to get people together." Oh well, he also once said the economy does better under the Democrats!
