Danny Simmons, a high profile Brooklyn-based artist, shares the essential elements of his creative practice—writing, painting, collecting and, most of all, philanthropy. The American abstract painter from Queens, NY, once coined his particular style of painting as “neo- African Abstract Expressionism.” His talent and passion for the arts reaches beyond the canvas; he has become a leader in the art world where he is known as a champion of black art.
