We take a deep dive into nazis and robots on the show this week. Tune in for the latest development (or first since 1991, if you ask the producer and director) in the Terminator saga and see WWII through the eyes of a young boy who's closest friend is an imaginary Adolf Hitler.
We start with show with a NE IPA from Moksa (Rocklin, CA) called "Pineapple Turbo Fuzz" and end it with another NE IPA from Revision called "What We Drink in the Shadows."

  • 145. "Harriet" // "Ad Astra" // Russian River Brewing // Abomination Brewing //
With Halloween in our rearview, we put away the fictional monsters - the vampires, ghosts and ghouls - and set our sights on real monsters; slave owners in Pre-Civil War America. "Harriet" tells the story of slave-turned-abolitionist Harriet Tubman. We discuss the merits of the story, the telling, and the factuality of the first feature-length (WHAT? HOW?) film about an iconic woman in American history.
Per usual, our conversation is fueled by two exciting craft beers. The first is an 8.25% wine barrel-aged pilsner called Intinction from Russian River Brewing from Santa Rosa, CA. The second is a pale ale from Abomination Brewing based out of New Haven, Connecticut called Urayuli which clocks in at 6.3% abv.
