On this episode, Drew and Ryota invite Destin Newfont, one of their college friends from UPS who is also a sports fanatic. To begin, Drew and Ryota run some Buzzer Beaters by Destin regarding NBA players' former teams, and movie release years (1:38). They later transition into a conversation about Joe Kelly and the Astros' scandal offering perspectives on Joe Kelly's actions, the suspension and sign-stealing (8:23). This week, Fresh out of College hosts refresh their short-term memory (0:40) and forecast for upcoming sporting events (23:45). The two update each other on the news in the NWSL, NBA, NFL, and College Football. They also share some of the sporting events to look forward to this week in terms of the NBA, WNBA and golf. Later on, they bring in Shane Kaneshiro to discuss the Jamal Adams trade (38:29) . The trio debate what team won the trade and what the trade means for both the New York Jets and Seattle Seahawks. In the last segment, the trio talk about some of the things that had occurred over the weekend ranging from the first extra-inning game this year with the new rule, outstanding performances, players to look forward to, and the playoff expansion (1:04:54). This week, Drew and Ryota cover short term memory loss and the forecast for the week. To start, they talk about the Blue Jays’ exile from Canada, the NWSL, NBA Bubble Updates, the Memorial Tournament, the Madden ratings, and updates on the MLS. They give their favorites to win the opening day for the MLB and their picks for the NWSL Semifinals (27:02). In the last portion of the podcast, Ryota and Drew breakdown their strategy for the 2020 Fantasy baseball draft. The two discuss what positions will be most impacted this season and what positions to value most and what areas you can wait on. The breakout of COVID-19 makes the MLB season challenging and makes the fantasy season even more of a difficult task to predict, Drew and Ryota try and make drafting easier in this podcast (38:15).

Sean Suver joins the podcast, as the three imagine themselves as NBA General Managers. They take on the task of drafting their team’s starting lineup and the sixth man with a dynasty mindset. Who will form the best team with the future in mind? What team do you think will take home the most Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy? Will Lebron James or Russell Westbrook get selected? Fresh out of College hosts another guest, Sean Suver, a close friend of Drew and Ryota, takes on Buzzer Beaters. This week's Buzzer Beaters are on NFL Fantasy over-under draft positions based on average draft positioning, and NBA players’ alma maters. See how Sean does with the 2 tough Buzzer Beaters today! (4:55). As well, the three discuss some of the MLB Rule changes, specifically the league-wide DH, and runners starting on 2nd base. The trio of baseball fanatics debate on the impact of these rule changes and whether they are good or bad for baseball (14:57). Tune in to hear more about what they have to say!

Fresh out of College presents the Weekly Rundown. Drew highlights the most significant sporting events that occurred on July 14th, and Ryota has a dog-inspired world record hunt (0:50). They refresh their short-term memory on all that has happened in the past week. They give updates on the winners of UFC 251, NFL negotiations, NBA bubble, MLS, and Pop Culture. As well, they forecast the top sporting events happening this weekend (3:10). Lastly, the two wrap up the segment with “Are They Worth it” and debate if Patrick Mahomes’ is worth the record-breaking ten years $503 million contract that Kansas City gave him (16:00). In the second half of the podcast Drew and Ryota talk about if and how College Football will be impacted this coming fall (39:11)). And lastly, Drew and Ryota talk about some of the best QB-WR duos in the NFL for the 2020 season. They share their own lists they created from 1-10, and also discuss some of their honorable mentions and those who failed to even be mentioned. What QB-WR duos were ranked too high or too low, which ones are you excited for this coming season? (57:59).

Justin Sasano joins Drew and Ryota this week on an all-new Fresh out of College podcast! In the first part of the podcast, Justin’s sports and cuisine knowledge is tested with games like Buzzer Beaters (1:52) and Taste around the World (8:52). Justin is quizzed on what number certain NFL players wear and the over-under (12.5) for the draft position of NBA Players (Buzzer Beaters). Justin is then given three meals and must guess which meal, of the three, did not originate from the specified country, this week’s countries are Liberia and Australia (Taste around the World). For the discussion part of the podcast Drew, Ryota, and Justin discuss what NBA free agents could help an NBA team during the shortened season and in the future, players like JR Smith, Joakim Noah, and Isaiah Thomas are discussed. As well, the three pick their favorite teams to make it to the 2020 NBA Finals and give their sleeper picks (13:31).

Justin Sasano, one of Drew and Ryota's close college buddies, joins the podcast for the new segment Lights, Camera, Action. This podcast, the trio jump into movies that highly involve music. The three movie fanatics share talk about some of the more recent and popular music related movies including La La Land, A Star is Born, Rocketman, Bohemian Rhapsody and Yesterday. They discuss the casting choices, outstanding performances, how the movie impacted each of one us, and some critiques of the movies. Lastly, they share some music movie ideas they would like to see in the future.

The first discussion segment they talk about is the MLB Summer Camp, providing updates, as well as teams and players to look for (28:45). Lastly, they finish by looking at the 2008 NBA Draft, and the two of them redraft the first 10 picks of the draft (1:03:26). 

Willie Keeler stops by to chat in this new episode of Fresh out of College. Drew and Ryota try and test Willie’s knowledge of food in the brand new “taste around the world” segment (4:39)! In the episode, Drew, Ryota, and Willie become nostalgic and talk about the big things that happened in 2005 from sporting events to pop culture (9:55)! They later discuss what sport is the hardest to learn and succeed in (41:07)! The sports they touch on include baseball, ice hockey, gymnastics, football, and much more! Lastly, they discuss what footwear companies have recently succeeded in securing the top athletes and the three take part in saying why they would like a particular company to sponsor them (1:17:20).
