Dr. Guy Winch is a psychologist and host of the podcast “Dear Therapists,” produced by Katie Couric. He and Lori Gottlieb field and consult over listener questions live – and the results are fascinating. We talk about the emotional problems that many people aren’t getting help with. There are so many underlying issues in our society that are not readily apparent and go completely unnoticed and untreated until disaster strikes. If there’s one thing we could all use right now, it’s a great psychologist and Dr. Guy is here to help.

Let me tell you, there is some magic that happens when you get a group of high performing people together for an unforgettable experience. Without even thinking about networking or listening to some speaker talk about how you should build your business, you can come away having met just the person your business needs or having sparked the idea of just what you need to do in the future. That’s why I love putting together my “Work Hard Play Hard” experiences. We’ve been thinking about trying to offer something that captures that magic but isn’t quite as intense (or as expensive). We’re still working out the details, but you can hear us hash it out, right here, on the podcast – and learn how you can give us feedback and help shape what it becomes.

We all go through multiple versions of ourselves. If I met my 1.0 version, I would hate him. I don’t even identify with him as the same person. That’s how much I’ve changed. Kim and I share the evolutions of growth that we’ve gone through over the years, from 1.0 to 2.0 to 3.0 and beyond. Then we discuss how you can identify your own versions and upgrade to the next.

Garrett J White is a polarizing figure, and he does not give a f***. He has the most appealing marketing for men I have ever seen. If you’re a man who’s married with children and having challenges in any area of your life – whether it’s your body, your relationship, or your wellbeing – he has you covered. His program, Warrior's Way, puts the solutions to all of this together in a completely different way than I’ve ever seen before. He’s definitely an intense person, but he’s not at all what you’d expect from someone like this. He’s going to surprise you and you are going to learn a ton in the process.

We are overwhelmed. Our culture glorifies the busy so we wear being overwhelmed as a badge of honor. The kicker is this: we are the cause. Nobody is forcing us to overwhelm ourselves. We choose to overschedule and overwork. We have to take responsibility for ourselves and craft what we want our days to look like. This is when it’s most important for us to use the tools we’ve developed to tackle overwhelm on a day-to-day basis. We can focus in on our goals and craft our environments to reduce stress, complementing our lives in the process. With a few adjustments, we can be surprised not only by how much we accomplish, but by how much more we enjoy it along the way.

I’m rethinking the way I handle social media. No, I’m not leaving it. I’m just tired of feeling pressured to latch onto every latest trend in order to make my business grow. Instead, I’m going to take a new perspective: what am I trying to do and how do I do that effectively? I want to inspire people with authentic stories that show you what’s possible. If that means posting less often, or more impromptu posts, then that’s what’s going to happen. We have to be able to find the balance between what’s authentic and what works.

IN-Q is a poet and songwriter, and believe me: he’s the real deal. His ability to hijack your brain and take it for a drive (leaving your body behind) is unparalleled. He was named one of the top creatives on Oprah’s SuperSoul100 list, he is the first poet to have performed at Cirque du Soleil, and he’s the songwriter behind hits for Miley Cyrus, Mike Posner, Selena Gomez, and even the official World Cup anthem. We talk about finding your purpose by exploring your curiosity, how freestyle rapping can be a form of meditation, and the beauty of discovery.

When Kim and I met, we were both fresh out of awful marriages. Once we got together, we knew we had to make sure that, this time, things would be different. We vowed to start the work necessary to become better people and better partners before we ran into problems in our relationship. We learned a lot about how to handle conflict, so today, I’m going to share the three principles we use to cut off arguments before they even happen. If you do the work, these will drastically improve your relationship.
