This is an experimental pop-up episode about life extension. The average lifespan is about 88 years and new technologies are helping people live a lot longer. Science predicts we may be able to double our life span in the next 40 years. In this series, we’re going to explore anti-aging and lifestyle-enhancing technologies.
Dr. Bill Dorfman is the most famous cosmetic dentist in the world, hands-down. He’s been on ABC’s “Extreme Makeover” and a standing co-host on “The Doctors” series, he created the billion-dollar Zoom Whitening business, and he is a bestselling author. We cover all of that, of course, as well as his anti-aging practices. He is 61, but if you look at him, you’d think he’s 21. It’s truly incredible. And—according to him—entirely attainable and repeatable.

Today’s Topic: Finding the Right Why
Recently, Kim’s been in a bit of a slump, feeling uninspired, unmotivated, and confused. But as Tony Robbins always says, when you’re confused, you’re on the verge of a breakthrough. Through examining her self-help toolkit, everything she’s learned from every mentor she’s had, and through a deep conversation with me, we were able to zero in on the problem: Finding a Why so exciting that it brings you to tears. With that in mind, we found a new Why that is going to dictate our future strategies and excite us moving forward. In this episode, we outline the steps we took to find that Why and how you can repeat that process yourself.

Bryce Wilson is a 24-year-old who started a company called Ticket Rescue—buying tickets from people who can’t go to an event and reselling them for a profit. He took an idea he came up with and kept growing it from nothing to a million bucks in sales… and then COVID hits and changes everything. We talk about how he’s handling the massive change brought on by the pandemic and how he’s pivoted to completely reinvent his business. He may be young, but he’s clearly doing a lot of things right and there’s a lot to learn from him.

Today’s Topic: Resistance
Within every goal, particularly big ones, there are areas of resistance. You may not even realize they are there. Now, whenever I think about my goals, I search for the areas of resistance. I ask myself where resistance could pop up in any given goal. And then I work myself through that resistance so that it’s not standing in the way of me and my goal. We’re going to break down how you can look at your goals and the thoughts that hold you back from achieving them and how to dismantle them so you can keep moving forward.

Today’s Topic: Crushing Your Goals
Every year, Kim and I have a summer goal-setting ritual. Kim brings a blank sheet of paper and an envelope, along with the sealed envelope from last year. We open the envelope from the previous year, and we rarely meet all our goals. But this year, looking at last year's goals, we crushed it. We’re going to discuss what those goals were, what we did differently, and what we’re going to take into next year.
