On this week's reading of the Friday Night BeerBlog, I talk about the constant yearly annoyance of taxes, especially for the self-employed. I'm lucky because Mike does our taxes, but that doesn't let me off the hook. I make sure to have snacks and beer at the ready.

Our downloads of the FNBBs are down, so I'm contemplating not doing the Friday night blog podcast read, but I need to hear from you. Do you enjoy to hear us read the blog or no? It's fun to do it with Mike, but I want to give the audience what they want. Let me know on my website llmcshane.com. I guess doing these doesn't hurt, and it's fun to annoy Mike with them, so maybe I'll continue anyway. (That's the beer talking.)

It snowed on April 1st. I freaked out, but realized that the weather was just having a little setback. I'm no stranger to setbacks. They happen to me all the time. And it would be easy to give up - the big snooze monster would love that, but you just have to get up and go again.
Setbacks assume some motion forward - two steps forward, one step back, but the good thing is that you are still one step forward.

Don't give up, don't ever give up.

In this week's Friday Night BeerBlog, we are celebrating the 26th anniversary of our first date and reminisce about how when you start dating someone new, you date their friends as well. I have been friends with a lot of same people over the last 26 years as well, which make it all of our anniversary.

I've grown up in my adult life with many of the people I met on that first date and in that year that Mike and I dated and consider myself very lucky to have found all of them.  I pay tribute to all of them tonight.

This is the very first "reading" and edit of the Friday Night Beer Blog - Podcast Version. Some people may not like to read blogs so I have decided to record a reading of them, which usually happens just with my husband Mike while we are drinking beer on Friday night.

This week's blog was about the albeit stressful migration of my old website to a new platform and domain and how that process was an analogy for the migration that I'm currently undertaking in my own personal life. As Maggie Smith in Keep Moving says, "Accept that sometimes dismantling has to happen before you can build."
