It's Friday, and that means we're taking over your evening San Antonio! Our high school feature with BDammone of Along The Wire looks into the high school football situation after numerous college athletic conferences cancelled their fall sports for the season. We've got a double dose of BDammone for you today as he joins the show LIVE to talk about the news coming out of Judson following the District 27-6A committee's decision to not let top area QB Jordan Battles and fellow Judson transfer L.J. Butler play for the Rockets this season. As always, we keep it local and look at what San Antonio FC has done different on the pitch this year as they stay atop Group D. Stephen Anderson who covers the UIW Cardinals locally joins the show in Hour 2 to talk about the schools cancellation of their fall season, and sticks around for some Spurs talk. Lots to get to - Let's take this thing over!

It's Friday, and that means we're taking over your evening San Antonio! Our high school feature with BDammone of Along The Wire features Sylas Gomez, sophomore and QB of Central Catholic. As Fall sports hangs in the balance, some schools are still trying to fill out their schedule, and UTSA is no exception. After losing LSU and the $1.4M check that would come with it, can the school find a financial schedule fit just up I-35? If you missed it, the Chanclas lost their playoff series last week, but San Antonio FC kept rolling - now it's about separating from the pack in Group D with 12 matches left. While some college sports programs face a lost season, St. Mary's University looks to start the first season of their E-Sports program. Sitting at 3-2 after this afternoon's win over the Jazz three of the four guys' predictions are still possible - How are they feeling? Lastly, we say goodbye to Rudy Campos Jr. as he leaves the show with another opportunity taking shape for himself. We'll miss ya for sure sir! Alright, let's do this!

It's Friday, and that means we're taking over your evening San Antonio! Our high school feature with BDammone of Along The Wire has a somber tone as we remember the life of Bryce Wisdom and the lessons that he showed us in his courageous fight with cancer. As we move into the show, we've been hearing rumblings of dissatisfaction from San Antonio FC fans who have started to receive season ticket renewal requests from Spurs Sports and Entertainment, the ownership group that operates the team. It's one thing to not receive your money back for this COVID-19 effected season, but it's a complete other issue when ownership has sold of two other franchises in the last four years, and lack of fan attendance is putting stress on many franchise owners across sports. Speaking of the Spurs, their first official game of the restart tipped off Friday as we started the second hour, so we couldn't wait any longer for the guys to make their predictions on how the team will finish. While changes are on the horizon for the Spurs, Harlandale High School may see some changes coming too as the discussion on offensive team names and mascots comes to San Antonio. Let's do this thing!

It's Friday, and that means we're taking over your evening San Antonio! After a few false start technical issues, the guys head right into the high school football feature with BDammone of Along The Wire who sat down with Clemons QB & Athlete , Max DiDomenico. This week, the UIL released their start plan for all fall sports to get into their season, and we'll see what the guys think about it. A week ago, #SpursTwitter was in heavy debate on whether Patty Mills' #8 jersey should be retired whenever he ends his career after he announced that all of his payment from playing the Orlando games will go to charities in Australia to help fight systemic racism and other causes. Everyone weighs in on the conversation, and while we're there, shares who is on their Spurs "Mount Rushmore". Our Campus Visit looks at some preseason All-Conference college football selections and possibly moving football to the spring. Speaking of spring football, could another team join the Gunslingers in representing SAn Antonio on the grid-iron in 2021? Time to takeover the next two hours...ish!

It's Friday and that means we're taking over your evening San Antonio! The episode kicks off with a great interview from BDammone of Along The Wire who sat down with Harlan Hawks senior QB, Kannon Williams. With the fall sports season up in the air, student athletes like Kannon Williams have had to do more work at home to supplement what work can't be done in practice. The UIL came out with their guidelines for fall conditioning amid the pandemic. Are enough precautions being taken? While high school sports await the start to their season, San Antonio F.C. will have to wait a little longer too after someone their opponent had a COVID case. The Chanclas have been in full swing, literally, as one journalist listed the team in the top spot of their power rankings. It isn't all sunshine for the Chanclas on the show, the guys have some strong feelings about how the team has been managing social distancing in the stands at their games. The Spurs in Orlando, Joe Garcia is on vacation, and San Antonio is back on the fighting map. Lots to get to - Time to takeover the next two hours!

It's Friday and that means we're taking over your evening San Antonio! Our friend BDammone of Along The Wire starts the show of HOT with the first interview of West Campus' football coach, Leandro Gonzales, who leads the way to the school's return to sports after re-opening last year. As Coach Gonzales and his staff prepare his kids for games this fall, sporting events this summer are nearly all underway, and some like the Chanclas have fans in the stands, whereas San Antonio FC won't for their return to the pitch*. Teams and venues may sell tickets, but are you and the hosts willing to buy them, given the circumstances? After comments made this week by soon to be restricted free agent Jakob Poeltl, the center issue for the Spurs may be, well, the center position. The Flying Chanlas are hitting hard, we look at the St. Mary's University Athletics Hall of Fame class of 2020, and some memorabilia talk ahead of this weekend's Card and Collectibles Show at the San Pedro Event Center. Let's takeover the next two hours!
*This episode was pre-recorded on Thursday, July 9th before SAFC announced their plan to have no fans at the home opener on the 25th.

It's Friday and that means we're taking over your evening San Antonio! Ahead of the holiday weekend, the UIL announced that they were suspending all fall sports practices until July 13th due to COVID-related concerns. Does delaying conditioning put the football season in jeopardy for local athletes? Speaking of high school football, BDammone of Along The Wire gives his top 10 QBs going into this season. With high school sports in jeopardy, the Chanclas returned to play this past week and opened their home series at Wolff Stadium just in time for America's birthday. The Chanclas may be back (through the TCL), but will the Missions return in 2021? There's cause for concern, and the guys discuss it. Chout outs, Spurs talk, a new segment and the gritos to make your ears bleed. Sit back and let us take over your next two hours... almost.
