  • 5 (Slightly Random) Things I've Learned from Podcasts

Hi, I’m Andi Smiley, the Friendly Podcast Guide. Every week I put out an episode about a specific podcast to help you figure out if it’s your next favorite podcast, those come out on Tuesdays. I also put out another episode each Thursday that’s a little more personal, either a list of podcasts I like for the season we’re in, how I’m using podcasts in my own life or something like that, this is one of those episodes and I’m talking about some of things I’ve recently learned from podcasts.

  • Find a Cure for Loneliness through this Conversational Podcast, Mouse and Weens

One of the reasons I listen to podcasts is to have a little adult conversation added to my day, even if it isn’t me having that conversation. Mouse and Weens is a great podcast if you’re lacking adult conversation in your life, the sisters have a great rapport and they have interesting conversations.

  • 5 Cozy Podcasts to Help You Finish Winter Well

Today I’m sharing a list of 5 different podcasts that can help you lean into the coziness as we wrap up winter and head into the still sometimes cold and dreary beginning of spring. I shared this in an earlier episode this month, but this year I tried really hard to lean into the coziness of winter instead of just pining for Spring and for the most part it worked, thanks in part to listening to cozy podcasts.

  • This is Going to Be FUN, Enjoy Being a Mom of Teens

I’m pretty sure every mom has been stopped by a well-meaning old lady who tells you your kids are cute and to enjoy them while they’re young, because once they hit the teen years you’ll be in for a world of hurt. This week’s podcast is called This is Going to Be FUN and it’s here to dispel the myth of the terrible teen years.

  • What's Saving My Life Right Now

Hi, I’m Andi Smiley, the Friendly Podcast Guide. And I’m going to tell you what is saving my life right now. I first heard this phrase from Kendra Adachi, the host of The Lazy Genius podcast and she said she got this idea from author Barbara Brown Taylor. Barbara Brown Taylor asks and answers this question in her memoir, Leaving Church.

I really like the idea of focusing on the things that are making my life better, it helps me to see those things easier in my every day life. And as a stay at home mom of 3 littles 5 years old and younger in the winter where it’s too cold for my kids to easily go outside, I need all the help I can get. I hope that you can find a nugget of info that can help you with your life, but more than anything I hope that listening to my list of 10 things can inspire you to make your own list of things that are saving your life right now.

I don’t know about you, but once I put the Valentine’s Day decorations up, I assume that Spring is just around the corner, and that’s just not the case. So this year I am trying hard to lean into the coziness of winter, even if I’m getting a little stir crazy for Spring and I have the perfect podcast to help you do the same. It’s called All Things Cozy.
