In This Episode
In this episode, we talked about how unschooling does not need to look anything like the public school of your past. Nor, does it need to look like the traditional practices of homeschooling. Try gameschooling! Gaming can help children to develop skills in communication, self-regulation, collaboration, problem solving, critical thinking and academic skills. Games can improve retention and engagement. We also discussed the importance of deschooling to share that public education mindset and why we should practice relationship building with our children.
Tira reminds us to keep our children centered our why for choosing to unschool. She shares how children can become experts and geniuses at the things they like to pursue and show passion in. Tira motivates us to be passengers in our children's education.
