We need to face our consequences. If we patiently endure, we can learn some things in our consequences. Own your consequences, learn from them, and do not let shame have the final say.

Ezekiel looked at a group of elders who were feeling condemned and forsaken, and who were looking at the wrong place for hope. His job was to tell them to look to God for hope – a God who would meet them where they were at and be a sanctuary for them. Does our witness leave people feeling shameful and hopeless? We need to be the place where people are accepted and led to put their hope in God.

In this passage, Jesus isn't rebuking "Doubting" Thomas. What would it benefit if Jesus was rebuking him? Instead, Jesus' teaching moment to Thomas and the others is that they'll go out and preach the message of the Good News. We are to do likewise by bearing the Fruit of the Spirit.
