What would you give up to be a disciple of Jesus? To become like Jesus is going to cost us something; we shouldn't dare assume that it will cost us nothing.

Psalm 97 gives a vision of the Lord coming to reign. While this vision may appear ghastly, the herald’s job is to get beyond the fright to reveal that the Lord brings what everyone hopes for: righteous judgment.

Jesus called us to be his disciples. We didn't seek him to be our "Rabbi," which means he believes in us. In other words, Jesus said that he'd MAKE us his disciples.

The stories in Acts are the evidence of discipleship displayed. The church was doing what Jesus had taught his disciples, by actively seeking people.

Psalm 96

We desire to abound more and more and to remain faithful everyday.

Today you can hear His voice, because what He has said in the past stands for the present.

Are we trying to enter God's rest or our own form of rest?

The psalm moves from desperation to determination, once the psalmist considers that the Lord is not sitting idle.
