Bumper - Sandman Viper Command - The Metal I’ve Spent Previous Week Recap: Zack’s notes: Gary beats Chee Kwan with the FS2000 and Chainsaw Shotgun. (side note, I did look up the dealer cost of the FS2000 and yeah its nearly 2k .. that’s a lot)Gary wins his first elimination challenge, kinda surprised he hadn’t gone before that. Practice:Zack’s notes: They unveil a 1919.. which is cool since we sell these at work, cool to see on TV. From my experience the covers are stiff to open and are kinda a pain in the butt. I do wonder why they didn’t put butterfly grips on it. I wonder if the gun would jump as much on a ground mount instead of on a tabletop. Main Challenge:Zack’s notes: Lol “I see colby standing next to nothing!” (gary said that) . The halftrack is pretty cool. . I remeber seeing a local gunshop (Rguns) had one for sale for $50k. Before the challange I’m betting Auggie will do the best. Funny that Colby swears at the intro..lolGary’s run- he ran out of ammo quick but it sure looked fun! It seems like the challange would be alot easier with butterfly grips on the gun. I wonder if they make sure to drive the same speed for everyone? Uses 100 rounds hits 4/15Greg’s run- Cool how they have exposives timed with hitting the targets, like mines or something. Starts out great but towards the end he starts spraying and praying. Gary must be crapping his pants seeing gregs run. Greg goes 8/15 uses all 100 roundsKyle’s run- Seemed like his run went really quick.. like he was expecting more time. He says he had half a bandoleer of ammo left. He went 5/15 and only uses 46 roundsChris’s run- Seems like he’s ambushing it waiting for it to come into view instead of trying to muscle it around. Funny the wind is covering his targets. He goes 6/15 uses 69 roundsAuggie’s run- Seems to be ambushing as well, he started really well but ended like crap. He goes 5/15. uses 100 roundsGreg and Chris are safe. I’m happy for Chris to be in the final four. Bumper - Mortgage - She KillsElimination Voting:Zack’s notes: Greg votes for gary, Chris votes for Augie, Kyle votes for Augie, Gary votes for Augie, Augie votes for Kyle.This creates a tie, which is a shootout. and Kyle goes to elimination.. so elimination is Kyle and Augie. Elimination Practice:Zack’s notes: They bring back the 5.7 round only this time its the PS90.. Gee how much did FN pay this season? Looks like its wearing a Trjicon RMR dual illuminution sight.. nice sight.Uh oh, a memory challange? I”d be screwed..lol Kyle reminds me of Jim Carey as Fireman Bob when he’s practicing.  “I’m impressed with his abondon of pride..” Sawman said that..lolAugies practice: Very quiet, didn’t seem sure of his memorization. Elimination Challenge:Zack’s Notes:Why do the spectators bring a backpack when they go watch the elimination? Seems kinda odd, maybe they are out there all day so they bring a lunch or somethingGood deal.. looks like this challange is a head to head version. I’d be screwed on the rope line! They only get 1:15 for the whole challange.. it’d probably take me 1 min to get across the rope.. lolKyle plans to memorize all 10, Augie plans to do 5 at a time. Augie only gets one shot off after going across twice.  Hits 5 from his boxKyle had a mental stump at the firing line Hits 3 from his boxAugie beats Kyle, too bad Kyle has to go but it was a fair challange. We discuss History Channel's Top Shot Season 4 - SWAT Throwdown this week.  We talk about the quirky Mossberg 500 Chainsaw, the strange looking FNH F2000, and the unique FNH Five-Seven.

Talk about why we started this podcast and where we are going with it.. Swat ClipTop Shot - SegmentSWAT episode.. FN 5.7.. pretty cool pistol, expensive and pretty niche in its use. I kinda want one but have no use for a a 5.7Interesting how Kyle can’t lead a group anymore since its all individual.Rappel tower, pretty cool. Why do they have to clear the gun after every window? Wonder if a lawyer was involved?Chee- afraid of heights? that’s not goodKyle- didn’t seat the magazine.. another person screwed by magazine safety. (1st place even with failure)Gary- didn’t holster between runs.the 5.7 looks like it recoils more then I thought.

Elimination Challenge:The chainsaw shotgun looks almost useless except for the small job they are using it for.. Can’t really shoulder fire it.. and shooting from the hip is way harder.I didn’t know the FS2000 had forward ejection.I like the challenges where they are head to head more then the ones that they shoot for time and compare times.

AR15 – in 223 w/chrome lined barrel – cheap ammo, light recoil, fun                -can be converted to shoot .22lr for cheap training and kids (if little kids than u will need to keep the rifle light or use a supported position i.e. bipod / sand bag                -can shoot many calibers and be used for almost any purpose but will need a new upper each caliber. Little kids – ruger 10-22 Hunting on a tight budget or want a piece of history – mosin nagant – rifle w/ accessories $89440 rd ammo tin $99Total w/ cleaning supplies $210 Hunting and range shooting on higher budget – Remington 700 – will need glass, another expense Shotgun – great for trap and can be used for hunting – many great and budget oriented options Home defense – glock, Remington 870 Pistol, if you don’t have room for a safe or just want easier transport or are limited to indoor ranges Great higher power for women and kids – m1 carbine – only 5 pounds – light recoiling – with the right ammo and a folding stock – great for home defense – a great general purpose gun as long as you understand the limitations of the cartridge.
