When I got tired of being depressed and sad I got determined to change. I didn't believe I could ever be happy, but in challenging myself to do the things that made me uncomfortable and scared me, I slowly found happiness and self confidence.

My non drinking dad is nice better. He gets cancer before he can physically attack me. I feel haunted for years.
