Stop setting yourself up for self-sabotage and avoid feeling like a failure.
Most people stand on a ledge, waiting to jump (i.e. start something, scale something, improve something, outsource something, etc.) – but they never pull the trigger, they never jump. Why?
How big is your “but”? No, I’m not talking about a body part. What I want to talk about is the “but” we use as an excuse to not do something.
Wanted to share this one killer thought today: you can GENERATE all the happiness, love, success, and energy you want. We don't chase it, or "find" it - we're like little power plants and it's up to us to feed it the fuel that will make it pop out the life we want. Here's how. I provide coaching for this stuff, so PM me if you want to chat.
Your emotional relationship with words could be why you’re not achieving your best.
I met a guy who died 5 times. His description of how it felt was so very interesting...and challenges the way I view it entirely. I was brought up to both fear and revere death, so my relationship with it is weird at best.
All I can say is that things we fear the most may not be scary at all. This has been one of the most powerful lessons for me this week. Enjoy!
You hear "success is a journey" and yet so few people enjoy the ride.
Why?
Mostly because their definition of "success" is wonky. It may be based on money, power, things - and these can all be taken away.
And anything that can be taken away jeapardizes your ability to feel "successful".
So instead, build success into your every day - making a contribution to your purpose or cause, serving your clients or team so that they feel better because you've been there.
Find success in the small things, and you'll find the happiness you're looking for.
If you take action, you give your brain less time to focus on fear. And what you do in your day IS something you can control, in a world that seems to shift every hour. Some words of encouragement!
We can't control what's happening in our world, but we CAN control how we spend our time.
And this, my friends, is one of the greatest anxiety-reducing activities you can participate in to help stay focused, be productive and stay sane.
Add on top of this 3 conscious breaths, at any time in your day (nice, deep ones!) and you'll keep the fear at bay.
Stay away from news...dabble in social media...challenge your sources...and stay home. Every little bit that we CAN control helps!
Let’s talk about fear - and how to stop the death-cycle of anxiety in a world gone mad.
