Have you ever struggled with doubt? You’re not alone. One of Jesus’ disciples, Thomas, is famously remembered as Doubting Thomas because he initially refused to believe in Jesus’ resurrection. But there’s more to the story than doubt. When Jesus decided to visit Lazarus’ grave, the disciples were afraid because Judea became dangerous for them. But Thomas boldly declared, Let us also go, that we may die with him. His courage in the face of danger shows us that Thomas wasn’t just a doubter. He was also daring in his loyalty to Jesus. Thomas later took the gospel as far as India, where he was martyred for his faith. His story reminds us that faith isn’t about never having doubts. It’s about trusting Jesus even in the midst of our doubts.
