Parents, things like bullying,  low self-image, and poor character decisions are at the heart of many of the challenges facing young people today. And it is not easy dealing with bullies for the children/teens and it is not easy for any mom, dad or guardian.  However, it is something that we must guard against.  John Maxwell said, "I know this: I must be a better guard at the gate of my own mind, and for those I’m responsible."  We too parents/guardians must guard our minds and those of our children/teens.

Discipline comes from discipulus, the Latin word for pupil. which also provided the source of the word disciple!!

Discipline be viewed as intentional instruction given to a disciple. And that disciple is your child or children in your household.  John Maxwell says in his “Law of Legacy” - A leader’s lasting value is measured by succession.” In other words, a leader is measured by the people he/she leaves behind.  Parents that leader in the household is you.  I encourage you to be intentional in your discipleship of your child/teen
