Season 3, Episode 2: Learning to Stay in Step — Peace, Productivity, and Presence
In this episode, I share what life has looked like in a season of shifting rhythms—from family changes and unexpected disruptions to renewed creative momentum and spiritual reflection.
After a stretch of journaling consistently at the beginning of the year, I found myself stepping away as real-life challenges surfaced, including my son’s health struggles, household repairs, and the mental weight that followed.
As things began to stabilize, I noticed a new tension emerge: not between chaos and peace, but between productivity and presence. With fresh energy for creative work—writing, business ideas, and new goals—I also found it harder to disengage and fully show up in family life.
This episode explores what I’m learning about pacing, rest, and the importance of not letting even good things become consuming.
Through prayer, reflection, and everyday motherhood, I talk about the subtle shift from problems to productivity as a different kind of challenge, and the need to stay aligned with a slower, intentional rhythm.
Ultimately, it’s a conversation about surrendering not just our worries, but also our ambition, so we can stay present in the life we’re actually living—trusting that both rest and work have their place when they’re led at the right pace.
