Welcome to Season 2 of the “From Full” Podcast!

We have all heard of different health awareness causes-

Breast Cancer Awareness, Stroke Awareness, Mental Health Awareness.

Well this season, God is talking to me about the importance of Relational Health Awareness.

Our relationship with Him = Spiritual Health Awareness

Our relationship with our spouse = Marital Health Awareness

And our relationship with others also = different kinds of Relational Health Awareness

Today’s episode is kind of an introduction to that, but it begins by talking about New Year’s Resolutions.

Are you already going full-speed ahead toward your own New Year’s Resolution, which you hope will bring you more fullness or make you more complete?

Have you failed so many times that you don’t even see the point in refreshing your expectations anymore?

In this podcast I share from a different perspective-

Setting goals (to love others) FROM our own FULLness in God,

And learning to get our fulfillment in Him-

Instead of success, or the reciprocation or affirmation of others.

Have you been busy with holiday preparations, or just the bustle of every day life, and feeling overwhelmed?

I was there too.

And then I got sick because I was stressing out so much that my immune system couldn’t keep up.

Not only did God come to my defense, bringing me back into the quiet place so he could minister to me, he took me from overwhelmed to overflowing again!

He also reminded me of some very important “presents” that all start with P’s, which we receive when we come into the Holy of Holies with Him:

🎁 His Presence

🎁 His Peace

🎁 His renewed Passion

🎁 A realignment of our Priorities

🎁 A higher Perspective

🎁 His Perfect love- which casts out all fear, discouragement, and lies of the enemy!

🎁 and finally His em-POWER-ment, to move from defense mode into offense, where He helps us put on our spiritual armor and battle against discouragement and more in His way!

In today’s podcast, I share candidly about some of the cares I had to cast onto Him this week. I share some of the icky feelings I had, and how he helped me turn those around and get back into faith and right-mindedness again.

I walk listeners through my “routine” in the quiet place (though it looks different each time, and is quite a bit louder and more passionate than what I could convey over a podcast.)

And I also share a great analogy He gave me about anxiety, its purpose, and what to do when we feel it shaking us.

I am praying that this podcast will help you, or that you’ll pass it along to someone else who needs help with releasing anxiety, overwhelm, and disappointment, and unwrapping all the “P” presents God wants for us to receive in His Presence, so that we are fully equipped and in the right perspective to live FROM FULL, not for it!

There’s this quote I used to love by Howard Thurman that says

“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs.

Ask yourself what makes you come alive and then go do that.

Because what the world needs is more people who have come alive!”

The world doesn’t need more people who have come alive, in the sense that they are passionately, happily filling themselves…

And the world doesn’t even just need more people who have come alive, just the once, in asking God for salvation, but then continue to live in frustration, trying to follow all the commandments on their own.

What the world TRULY needs, is more people who are choosing to die to themselves DAILY! And to get filled by the Spirit and come alive in Christ!

Many people even within the churches are DYING inside, spiritually, and emotionally, because they’re trying to be good people in their own power, when the Bible was written to show us that we can’t but that the GOOD NEWS is that we don’t have to!

The Spirit wants us to invite him in so that He can help us.

We don’t have to do life alone!

We don’t have to handle our problems alone!

We don’t have to be able to transform ourselves into good people alone!

We don’t have to “have it”, because He’s got US! And we get to do life together!

Do you feel like you’re walking around dead inside?

Or dying, in all your trying?

Do you feel like the more you try to hold it all together,

or be a better person,

the more frustrated you feel until you just pop again?

Do you need something better than a list of rules to show you how to live life successfully?

The Good News that I share about is that this is exactly what Jesus came for, and what He offers the Holy Spirit to us for!
