When I imagined my twenties, I pictured scenes from Sex and the City and Friends. Little did I know I'd actually be crying at my internships, getting my card declined at Whole Foods and sifting through crappy dates and fake friends. Not even Google or your mom can prepare you well enough to navigate the chaos of your early twenties.

Rebroadcast from Ep. 25 of The Hangry Mexican Podcast with FOX 11 Los Angeles' Oscar Flores, "Getting real with 'From Here to Where' podcast host Sarah Trott.
"When I imagined what my 20s would look like, I pictured movie-worthy moments from Sex in the City and Friends. I realized life actually turns out to be more like a blooper reel...cue horrible dates, fake friends, and scary bosses."
Those words are from my guest today, digital content creator and host/creator of From Here to Where, a podcast aimed at empowering women everywhere, Sarah Trott.
This Southern California native began her career in journalism while still attending school but life had a cruel twist that threatened to derail her dreams and forced her to reassess what’s more important in life. This is her story...
Empty shelves. Empty streets. Full of fear. Our world and the city of Los Angeles has completely flipped upside down in a matter of days.
An excerpt from the episode: "What I find most interesting is the way people react and cope to what’s happening. Panic. Denial. A combination of the two.
I currently live in Los Angeles, a city hallmarked for hedonism. The pursuit of personal pleasure. It’s no surprise to see so many people embrace the “f*ck it” attitude of invincibility. To be honest, that was me a week ago. But now, it’s hard for me to see that attitude as anything but utterly selfish.
Let’s be clear — this disease will not kill me or my peers. We are healthy, strong, young adults.
But this virus will very likely impact our parents and grandparents. Those are the ones who face the grim potential of this virus.
For me the “f*ck it” attitude hits personally."
Listen to hear my opinions and world view as coronavirus unfolds in America's second largest city.
