Some time has passed since Moab first began to awaken to the voices of his ancestors. In that time, the Moorish world has grown more organized, more deliberate. Across the land, in every state, there are at least twenty Moorish settlements. Each is a fortified compound, a city state in miniature, built on the same principles as Moab’s home.
They trade mostly with each other and with those they have treaties with. They have joined the BRICS nations through a special Moorish confederation, moving goods and data along their own channels, independent of the old empires. Their technology is cutting edge, blending ancient geometry and strange, almost alien designs with modern engineering.
But independence and unity have a cost. The more the Moors step out of the story written for them, the more they draw the attention of their open enemies. Before the great shift that is coming, there is a test. A fire at the gate.
This is the day Moab learns what Cherubim and Seraphim really are.
