Story Transcript:

Cy: Wrth iddi gerdded drwy strydoedd hardd Santorini, roedd Eira yn ceisio dychmygu celf newydd.
En: As she walked through the beautiful streets of Santorini, Eira tried to imagine new art.

Cy: Roedd y goleuadau Nadoligaidd yn goleuo'r tai gwyn eira, ac roedd y môr glas dwfn yn ymestyn allan i'r pell.
En: The Christmas lights illuminated the snow-white houses, and the deep blue sea stretched out into the distance.

Cy: Roedd Santorini yn teimlo'n wahanol i Gymru, ond roedd rhywbeth cyfarwydd yn ei dawelwch eiraidd.
En: Santorini felt different from Wales, but there was something familiar in its snowy quietness.

Cy: A dyna oedd y diwrnod pan welodd Eira wyneb cyfarwydd yn y dorf.
En: And that was the day Eira saw a familiar face in the crowd.

Cy: Roedd Gareth yn sefyll ger caffi bychan, ei wyneb yn berffaith o dan y goleuadau meicro newydd.
En: Gareth was standing near a small café, his face perfectly lit under the new micro lights.

Cy: Roedd Eira yn teimlo'n chwithig.
En: Eira felt awkward.

Cy: Roeddent heb siarad ers y ffrae fawr y llynedd.
En: They hadn't spoken since the big quarrel last year.

Cy: "Cyfarchion, Eira," dechreuodd Gareth mewn llais cynnes.
En: "Greetings, Eira," Gareth began in a warm voice.

Cy: "Dwi'm yn meddwl y byddwn i'n dy weld di yma.
En: "I didn't think I would see you here."

Cy: "Roedd Eira yn hesfishu, ond dywedodd, "Helo, Gareth.
En: Eira hesitated but said, "Hello, Gareth.

Cy: Be' ti'n neud yma?
En: What are you doing here?"

Cy: ""Awyrllythyr," atebodd Gareth, yn edrych dros y môr i'r lliwiau garddawyr o'r machlud.
En: "A getaway," Gareth replied, looking over the sea at the painterly colors of the sunset.

Cy: "Rydw i yma i wylio dathliadau'r Nadolig.
En: "I’m here to watch the Christmas celebrations.

Cy: Ond mae'n drueni fod colli cyfeillgarwch yn fy meddwl.
En: But losing friendship is on my mind."

Cy: "Teimlodd Eira don o emosiynau'n llif drwy ei henaid.
En: Eira felt a wave of emotions flow through her soul.

Cy: Roedd y bwrdd cwpwl bach wrth y lawnt gyda charpedau tywyll a phobol yn canu carolau Nadoligaidd yn ei atgoffa o ddiwrnodau hapus, ond hefyd y frwydr honno, yr esymau hir ac amhriod.
En: The little table on the lawn with dark carpets and people singing Christmas carols reminded her of happy days, but also that argument, the long, mismatched reasons.

Cy: Plygiodd Gareth ymlaen, yn amlygu'i bwriad.
En: Gareth leaned forward, revealing his intention.

Cy: "Dwi'n colli dy gwmni, Eira.
En: "I miss your company, Eira.

Cy: Roeddem yn gyfeillion mor dda unwaith.
En: We were such good friends once."

Cy: "Roedd Eira yn gwybod y byddai galw at ei hen gariad yn anodd.
En: Eira knew that reaching out to her old love would be hard.

Cy: Ond roedd hi'n deall hefyd bod celf yn dod o gariad, boed hynny rhwng dau berson neu rhwng ei hun a'i chrefft.
En: But she also understood that art comes from love, whether between two people or between herself and her craft.

Cy: "Dwi wedi meddwl llawer amdanat ti, Gareth.
En: "I've thought a lot about you, Gareth.

Cy: A hefyd am y ffrae," rhoddodd ar ddechrau eu sgwrs.
En: And also about the argument," she offered at the start of their conversation.

Cy: "Roeddwn i'n teimlo'n brifo, ond yn awr, dwi'n deall, fod angen dysgu o'n profiadau ni.
En: "I felt hurt, but now I understand that we need to learn from our experiences."

Cy: "Cynigiwyd cinio yng nghanol canhwyllau tlws, a phwysleisiodd seren y noson y cyfarfod hwnnw.
En: Dinner was offered amidst lovely candles, and the star of the night emphasized that meeting.

Cy: Trafododd Gareth gydag Eira rhyngddynt wynebu'r dadleuon - a pham roeddent wedi crwydro i ffwrdd.
En: Gareth and Eira discussed facing their arguments—and why they drifted apart.

Cy: Roedd hyn yn rhan o'u stori hir a llethol.
En: This was part of their long and overwhelming story.

Cy: Ymddiheurodd Gareth, gan ddweud, "Nid oeddwn i'n deall dy feddyliau ar y pryd.
En: Gareth apologized, saying, "I didn’t understand your thoughts at the time.

Cy: Hoffwn i ddechrau eto, os gallaf.
En: I’d like to start again if I can."

Cy: "Erbyn diwedd y noson, roedd rowndiau o gydddeiriog allanoed yn dod i ben gyda chwtsh cynnes.
En: By the end of the night, rounds of passionate outbursts ended with a warm hug.

Cy: Roedd y ddealltwriaeth newydd yn chwyldroi yn eu calonnau.
En: The new understanding was stirring in their hearts.

Cy: O'r diwedd, roeddent yn derbyn y byddai'r amser hefo'i gilydd a ddysgwyd iddynt fod llawer mwy na'r lletchwithdod ymlaen-oed.
En: Finally, they accepted that the time they spent together had taught them that there was much more than awkwardness to move forward.

Cy: Dechreuodd Eira feddwl fod ei cherdded artisticaidd yn cynnwys ei gymdeithasau personol, tra bod Gareth wedi dysgu aros yn amyneddgar a gwerthfawrogi'r eiliadau pwysig hynny mewn bywyd.
En: Eira began to think that her artistic walk included her personal associations, while Gareth had learned to wait patiently and appreciate those important moments in life.

Cy: Roeddant ill dau yn ymwybodol bod wrth galon eu teithiau arbennig mae'r cyfeillgarwch hwnnw yn aros.
En: Both were aware that at the heart of their special journeys, that friendship remains.

Cy: A gyda hynny, fe gychwynnodd Nadolig newydd â chyfeillgarwch a celf yn ffurfio pont i ddyfodol gwell gyda'i gilydd.
En: And with that, they began a new Christmas with friendship and art forming a bridge to a better future together.
