The case of Melbourne man Neil Prakash dominated headlines nearly a decade ago as war raged in Syria. 

Prakash allegedly joined and aided IS, the Islamic State, between 2014 and 2016.

Now, he has been extradited to Australia and charged with six terrorism related offences. He could face a life sentence.
