First, The plaintiff says her father was in and out of her life when she was growing up, and she hadn’t seen him since she was 10. She found him 26 years later and he told her she had a sister. The defendant says she rarely saw her biological father. The plaintiff is petitioning the court for a sibling DNA test.


Then, The plaintiff says he lost he brother to gun violence, so he values those close to him. Even though the defendant is a good friend, the plaintiff says he totaled his car, so he’s suing him. The defendant says the plaintiff is like a brother to him. He insists his friend is suing him prematurely.


Plus, The plaintiff says he began using heroin at 15 but has been clean for 31 years and even earned a master’s degree to help others. He says he’s suing because he hired the defendant to renovate a home, but he stopped showing up. The defendant says he lost his eye when he was robbed and then opened up a painting business. He said he missed work because his father died.
