On this week's episode of the From The Back Fields to The Bronx podcast, Ricky Keeler is joined by Tampa Tarpons/FCL beat writer John Brophy and Hudson Valley Renegades beat writer/lead scout Steve Alhona to discuss the latest in the Yankees organization.

The show started by talking about Jasson Dominguez's debut in the Yankees organization. Even though he does not have a hit yet, fans should be encouraged. John tells us some of the other players to watch in the team's first three games.

The conversation shifted to Hudson Valley to talk about Josh Breaux's good month of June, Josh Maciejewski's best start of the season, and who could move up to High-A with Keegan Curtis no longer in the Somerset bullpen.

Moving down to Tampa, they have not been able to play many games this week due to bad weather and John tells us the impact it can have on player development. We get into Randy Vasquez's great June and his ceiling and Anthony Volpe continuing to rise up prospect rankings.

After talking about Somerset and Diego Castillo's great month as well as Scranton Wilkes-Barre beginning a series in Worcester after a good offensive showing in Lehigh Valley.

To help us preview the MLB Draft, Ricky and Steve were joined by Nathan Rode, the director of multimedia and scouting for Prep Baseball Report, to talk about the prep class in this year's MLB Draft and some of the fits for the Yankees with the 20th pick.

The trio wraps up the show by talking about how they could fix the Yankees and whether or not the team should be buyers or sellers at the trade deadline later this month. Their final thoughts consist of the best power bats in the system as well as the extension of the Triple-A season and bringing back playoffs this year to minor league baseball.

The draft discussion started by looking at the history of the 20th pick and how crucial the pick is for the Yankees since they are not used to picking this high in the draft. The duo also looks at possible organizational needs, whether it is good to go prep school or college with a first pick.

With our MLB Draft scouting reports starting up soon, Steve and Ricky look at 3 players that have been linked to the Yankees in recent mock drafts and discuss if they would be good picks for the organization.

Robert knows more about the Yankees system than anyone in the industry, so he was the perfect person to look at each affiliate as four series are nearly in the books.

The conversation starts in Somerset where the Patriots have won 8 of the last 9 games. Dermis Garcia was on a 12-game hit streak going into Game 2 of Thursday's doubleheader so the duo talked about his ceiling in the organization, Glenn Otto's 14-strikeout performance this past week, and Michael Beltre winning Player of the Week in the Double-A Northeast.

Then, they turn to Scranton Wilkes-Barre and Robert talks about how their unique roster construction has helped them get off to a 15-6 start as well as the good play of Thomas Milone and Armando Alvarez.

For the two other affiliates, the two hosts look at how adding Josh Smith to the Tampa lineup only makes them better, Beck Way's professional debut, and some under-the-radar players in their lineup. Robert was at Hudson Valley's series in Brooklyn and he told us some players who stood out to him, the play of James Nelson at third base, and when could Ken Waldichuk or Luis Medina see a promotion to Double-A?

In the final segment, Ricky and Robert go over a couple of general topics such as how much of a sample size should fans look at when evaluating a season and what position group has been the best in the organization so far?
