India has tough choices to make ahead of Sunday’s T20 World Cup final.
India advances to the World Cup final despite a heroic effort from England. India’s seven run win hinged on two key moments. Beyond that, Bumrah was the difference as he once again showed why he is a generational talent and how India continues to excel because of his bowling. We also talk about those two key moments in this match where if it had turned out differently, England would have won.
Once again, I pay tribute to Bethell and his cool demeanor which quite frankly has been the most positive things about England in this tournament. While more experienced cricketers with a longer track record of winning have melted under pressure he has stayed steady.
And did Harry Brook make the right call in terms of his team? I don’t think he did.
We also look ahead to the final India V New Zealand and whether India needs to drop some of their weaker performers. But we’ll have much more time to talk about that in the next show.
Finn Allen absolutely crushed it after an effective boy attack from New Zealand kept South Africa at bay in their innings.
The tournament is now down to four teams - straight knockouts.
India’s resiliency and mental fortitude in this sport have become almost more important than the actual ability of cricketers. We discuss that and review what was a classic match between Indian and the Windies today.
India won in Chennai against Zimbabwe what questions persist about the defending champions. South Africa’s bowling attack and opening batting partnership were brilliant in a win over West Indies.
England can play poorly but find ways to win. Today they didn’t necessarily play poorly, but Pakistan had its moments and certainly individual performances and moments to build upon. But once again when it came down to it, England had a stand out performer while everything else was collapsing. Harry Brook’s century was one for the ages.
On today’s T20 World Cup daily we discuss if the West Indies big win makes it impossible for India to advance. We pay tribute to the Indian fans. We give a commentary about Indian owners in England’s hundred competition and Preview, England versus Pakistan.
India’s long winning streak in ICC events comes to a close emphatically. South Africa crushes India in Ahmedabad.
Also, England answered every question I posses in my video of about England earlier in the week in a decisive win against Sri Lanka.
India have won 13 T-20 World Cup matches on the bounce. But they can be beat as both the USA and Netherlands gave them difficult games in the group stage. They are the favorites, but what are the keys to beating them? And who will come out of each group in the Super 8?
We preview both groups today.
