Ron Connley is a true Australian bushman. Born and raised in the shadow of Mount Hotham in Victoria's High Country, the 84-year-old spent his youth travelling the countryside winning bull-dogging championships and campdrafting titles. But his proudest moment? Taking out the Man from Snowy River title - twice - in his 60s.

He's never strayed from his mountain home for too long, and is still based on his childhood sheep station. But don't let that fool you. Ron has an extraordinarily adventurous spirit and has never let his age dictate what challenges he takes on. Hear host Kay Becker draw some big tales from this even bigger character. As the son of a NQ shopkeeper, Noel Daley was never gifted a cent. After a taste of working on the property his brother managed near Cloncurry in North-West Queensland, he headed bush to make his fortune.

Noel spent years on stations in the North-West working his way up from ringer to Manager. Holidays were non-existent and on rare days off, he dabbled in the burgeoning campdrafting scene. He managed to snag himself a wife and start a family before scraping together the deposit to buy his very own place.

Brett Parbery is an Australian dressage rider and trainer. He competed at the World Equestrian Games in Lexington 2010 where he became 9th individually, which is the highest rank for an Australian dressage rider during the World Championships.

Kristy Banks was a champion jockey, winning more than a hundred races from 800 starts. But her career came to a shattering halt New Years Eve 2011 when she was thrown from her horse at a race meeting in Toowoomba. Her injuries were catastrophic - a broken back, four broken ribs and a punctured lung - and they left her paralysed from the waist down. But that's not the end of Kristy's story - far from it.
