The transition of youth leadership to adult leadership within a Troop is critical to the survival of the unit. Scout leaders spend an incredible amount of time training youth to pick up management skills. All too often they leave the Troop without ever being asked if they could step up as an adult leader. Developing a 3 step plan for the Troop to actively recruit youth for adult leadership positions. Mentoring and coaching the youth through leadership experiences readying them to take on the challenge when they turn 18.
