San Antonio College President, Dr. Naydeen González-De Jesús, talks with Hot Mustard about AlamoPROMISE.
This episode’s guest is Stephanie Vasquez, Chief Program Officer for AlamoPROMISE. You’ll also hear stories from current SAC students enrolled in AlamoPROMISE.
Dr. Naydeen talks with Stephanie about AlamoPROMISE. The program provides community college tuition to eligible students who plan to earn an associate degree, certification, courses for transfer or workforce training. AlamoPROMISE also provides last-dollar funding to fill the gap between a student’s financial aid award and the cost of tuition and mandatory fees for up to three years at one of the Alamo Colleges District’s five colleges. The AlamoPROMISE is powered by school districts, colleges and universities, employers, and community organizations that have united to support students in completing education beyond high school, launching their careers, and being included in the economic success of our region.
The three steps for enrolling in AlamoPROMISE:
1. Complete your admission application on Apply Texas
2. Complete your financial aid application through FAFSA or TASFA
3. Enroll in classes for Fall
Eligible graduates from the class of 2024 should submit their admission and financial aid applications by February 28, 2024 to be considered for AlamoPROMISE.
