We did a thing and it felt really good. The FoF Fund was officially launched today and we are really proud of the initiative. One of the best parts of working in sports is the ability to give back and deliver change for the betterment of people's lives. Erik Nilsen, the Executive Director of B.A.T., joins us to tell the story of how B.A.T came about and the impact it has on our colleagues in the baseball industry. Sports was once again rocked by a social movement with the NBA and MLB canceling games due to the incidents in Wisconsin this past week. Tonight is the night we learn Chris can't and won't nap. Rob is appalled. Baseball has it's first true test this week as the Marlins lost half their team to Covid cases in the first Weekend. We also learned Rob's favorite Baseball video game growing up was Backyard Baseball and has a great Christmaas story about PS2. More importantly we discuss how you should handle the process after you apply for a sports job; utilize your network you should have built, find a connection at the organization, and reach out to your alumni in the industry. Plus, before you even start your career, begin reading job descriptions for jobs you think you may want one day to understand the opportunities that lie ahead. MLB is officially back baby! Opening Day is upon us... in the middle of July but a great sign that we have turned a little bit of a corner.
