A hot field has assembled for the Listed Leon Macdonald Stakes this weekend which includes the return of the Melbourne Cup bound, The Map. We chat with Hong Kong-based jockey Lyle Hewitson, who’s in town this weekend as well as trainer Mitch Freedman who is bringing Group 1 winner Attrition across for the feature. We also debate which of Leon Macdonald’s former stars we’d like to have owned and preview Saturday’s card.

We kick off the new racing season with the running of the Group 3 Behemoth Stakes which is a race jam packed with talent. We also cover all the latest news from around South Australian racing.
