Frontiers

I'm still alive! I may have skipped a month of Frontiers without

warning, but it was sorely needed. Burnout is very real, and I was very

burnt out. I'm back now, though, and I'm feeling MUCH better. Not only

do I have an excellent episode of Frontiers for you, but I've also been

working on some original tunes, which you'll hopefully hear at...some

point. For now, enjoy this hour of nice music. (00:00) Sunny Lax - Lionheart [Anjunabeats]

2023 continues being chaotic for me into April...which is why I'm once

again a week late on this Frontiers episode. That said, the extra time

gave me a chance to try out some new techniques in the mix, so there are

more cuts, more effects, and an even smoother intro and outro than

normal. As icing on the cake, I managed to squeeze in my brand new remix

coming out on Landscapes Music in May, so stay tuned for that as well.

It's

important to take time in the chaos to step back and take a deep

breath. Hopefully this mix will let you do that just as it has for me.

2023 has been a rather chaotic year for me so far, and I've found it

difficult to stay focused on music - which I think has shown in the last

couple Frontiers episodes. This one feels like a return to form of

sorts. Enjoy some melodic house and trance. (00:00) Basstakil - Hazer [FSOE UV]

It's time for the February 2023 episode of Frontiers. This one is a great trip through the various styles of progressive house and melodic techno, and it also features a number of songs with extremely long artist and track names. Despite that, I somehow managed to squeeze a couple more songs into this hour than I normally do, so enjoy!

Happy new year! Ok, we might be a couple weeks late on this one, but the

first Frontiers of 2023 has arrived. This month's mix is rather more

melodic than the last few have been, though that's not to say it doesn't

pick up some good energy and dancing grooves along the way too.

Regardless, it's a great tone-setter for the coming months. (00:00) Soifer - Sentience I [Amped Artists]

We're ending 2022 on a bang. This final mix of the year features every

facet of progressive music that I've been known to play, including

progressive breaks, melodic techno, several forms of progressive house,

and even a little bit of trance. There's a great combination of styles

here, and they all blend well together.

Thank you all for your support this year; it means the world! Here's to a good 2023. (00:00) Super-Frog Saves Tokyo - Beautiful Surfaces [Electronic Architecture]

It's November and there's already snow on the ground, at least where I

live in Colorado. I've always loved the aesthetic of winter, and I think

the first half of this episode of Frontiers is a great soundtrack for a

nice drive down a snowy road...even if the second half predictably gets

rather more energetic. This one is smooth as silk from start to finish,

and hopefully a memorable one too!
(00:00) The Thrillseekers - In These Arms [FSOE]

(51:32) William Orbit - Starbeam (Dosem Edit) [Anjunadeep]

What better way to start off the autumn season than with an unhinged

episode of Frontiers? This one traverses all over melodic techno and

techno-adjacent progressive house (and even some breakbeats!), spending

over half the runtime at 128 bpm. This one was a blast to record, and I

hope you'll have just as much fun listening to it. (00:00) Yotto - Under Trees [Reflections]

Summer is nearly over, and to send it off, I've got a banger episode of

Frontiers lined up. There's some awesome progressive as usual, and the

second half is almost entirely solid techno. Enjoy!
