On this season's final episode of Lights In The Tunnel, I had the pleasure to talk with Maureen Roderick. Since 2017, Maureen (Moe) has worked at Boston's Home Base Program for Veterans and Families (A Mass General Hospital and Red Sox Foundation Partnership) on fundraising for mental and physical health needs. Moe is also a proud military spouse. We talk about the Run To Home Base that is virtually happening on September 26th, 2020!

In this episode, I had the pleasure to have a conversation with the founder of the Tri for a Cure, Julie Marchese. The Tri for a Cure is an all women triathlon that takes place in Maine that benefits cancer prevention, detection and care. In the second part, I talk with three sisters, my mom April, my Aunt Kate, my Aunt Megan about what their experience was like doing this amazing Tri as a team. Although 2020 will be virtual, it is still going to be very special. The Tri started 13 years ago, and since then, it has raised more than 16 million dollars! All of the money is donated to the Maine Cancer Foundation.

In this episode, I talk with Cantor Sarra Spierer. Sarra is the Cantor for Congregation Beth Elohim in Acton, MA. She was ordained and received a Masters in Jewish Education from Hebrew College, and from there she went on to teach and lead congregations in song and prayer throughout the country. We talk about what she enjoys doing, how this pandemic has affected her job at the temple, and of course her lights.

Today I talk with my Grampy and Patty, my mom's Dad and his wife who are back in Portland, Maine for the Summer. Grampy and Patty talk about laughing that gets them through the tunnel, how they can't wait to eat in a real restaurant, and that they are looking forward to seeing all of their grandkids.
