Joe Vasta aka Jeeves aka J.V. Bastard and I go back some ways. We did two back-to-back international tours with Horror Punk band Blitzkid. This 5 hour 12 minute conversation is actually in fact the latter part of a 7 hour 30 min? conversation if you can believe it. We caught up on a lot. It is effortless to talk with Joe. I finally put a pin in it at 3:30 a.m., otherwise it would have kept on going. He is correct: He can speak longer than Loki. So many things were spoken about, rehashed, analyzed, and pondered.
J.V.'s bands: Gotham Road, Mister Monster, Darrow Chemical Company, Michale Graves, Blitzkid

Usually, the musical group, which sees itself influenced by people like Tobe Hooper , Lucio Fulci and Dario Argento and bands like Nekromantix and Mad Sin , sings in a humorous way the themes and clichés of common horror B-movies (e.g. about zombies, mummies and serial killers, cemetery fetus fantasies or Dracula's Cadillac).
The band members themselves stick to pseudonyms and attitudes, which they increasingly express at the group's concerts. According to their own statement, the band comes from the distant planet Transylvania and came to earth to “flood people with the music of evil, rock'n roll, and to play by far the bloodiest rock'n roll, mother Earth has ever experienced.”
In 2004, the Bloodsucking Zombies from Outer Space's debut album, See You at Disneyland , was released and was well received by critics . The title of the album refers to a quote from serial killer Richard Ramírez . The second album, A Night at Grand Guignol , released in 2005, is, as the title suggests, a declaration of love to the Théâtre du Grand Guignol . This album also contains The Fairy Tale of Billy the Butcher . The lyrics of four songs tell the story of this fictional serial killer, while in between a narrator continues the story. In spring 2008 the group's third album, Monster Mutant Boogie, appeared. In 2009 the band released the mini-album Killer Klowns from Outer Space, limited to 666 copies .
The previous albums, released under the horror punk label Fiend Force Records , received good reviews in specialist magazines and quickly made the group popular. The first two albums were also released by Fiend Force as vinyl records. The third album was also released as a record in 2010, but under the Halb 7 label . This was limited to 333 copies, offered a bonus song and new artwork. In June 2010, the Bloodsucking Zombies released their fourth studio album Return of the Bloodsucking Zombies from Outer Space . As a curiosity , this contains a hidden track called Killer Bluesin Viennese dialect.
In October 2010, the split album Clash of the Monsters was released with the psychobilly band Thee Flanders . The first edition, limited to 999 copies, also includes a bonus live CD with pieces from both groups from the Psychomania Rumble festival . The EP Killer Blues was released in June 2011, the lyrics are in Viennese dialect and the arrangements are acoustic. This EP was also released in a limited edition, which contains a single-sided record and the CD. The Killer Blues EP also marked the start of the band's own label Schlitzer-Pepi Records .
For their 10th anniversary in 2012, the band, still with the original line-up, released their first best-of album, Decade of Decay - Gravest Hits , with 15 newly recorded and partly reinterpreted songs. On February 14, 2014, the fifth studio album was released after four years with the title Toxic Terror Trax - Music for the Postapocalypse .
Jay Reatard was a ferocious, prolific musician who burned hot and bright with incredible musical creativity for a decade and a half before his untimely, shocking death - just shy of his 30th birthday. Tonight, we honor him and his music.

Megan Is Missing is a 2011 American found footage psychological horror film[4] written, directed, edited, and co-produced by Michael Goi.[5] The film revolves around the days leading up to the disappearance of Megan Stewart (Rachel Quinn), a popular high school student in North Hollywood who decided to meet up with a boy she was interacting with online, and the subsequent investigation launched by her best friend Amy Herman (Amber Perkins). Goi based the film on a series of real-life cases of child abduction. Marc Klaas, the founder of KlaasKids Foundation, notably endorsed the film.
Originally developed as a low-budget independent feature in 2006, the film was shot for $30,000–35,000.[2] It did not find distribution until Anchor Bay Films gave it a limited theatrical release in 2011. The film was very controversial upon its release. Marketed as an educational film, Megan Is Missing was banned in New Zealand[3] and has been heavily criticized by critics for its depiction of sexual violence and brutal imagery. Goi wrote the script in 10 days and shot the film over a week. Because of the graphic content, he requested that the parents of the young cast be on set during filming so that they were fully aware of their involvement in the project.
It is one of the first computer screen films. The film experienced renewed popularity in 2020 after clips of the film were shared on TikTok. Goi later issued public warnings to prospective viewers after many users began calling the film "traumatizing." Entertainment Weekly called it "2011's scariest horror film." The film placed sixth in the DEG Watched at Home Top 20 Chart for Week Ending November 21, 2020.
Before we had 3 hits from Hell, The Misfits had 12 Hits from Hell. Tragically, the Misfits - 12 Hits from Hell would be a project lost to time. Something that was meant to be twice over only to be sent back to the hellish depths from which the Misfits and their creativity had once summoned it.

12 Hits from Hell is a cancelled studio album by American horror punk band the Misfits. It was recorded in 1980 but went unreleased. Caroline Records attempted to release it in 2001, but band members Glenn Danzig and Jerry Only called off production and the album was scrapped.
In August 7, 1980, the Misfits recorded twelve songs at Master Sound Productions studios with the intention of releasing a full-length album. The band's lineup at this time included singer Glenn Danzig, guitarist Bobby Steele, bassist Jerry Only, and drummer Arthur Googy. During the sessions, Only was grooming his younger brother Doyle to join the band, and Doyle recorded his own guitar tracks and overdubs separately in addition to Steele's. The tracks were mixed in September, but in October, Steele was ejected from the band in favor of Doyle and the planned album was scrapped. Five of the songs were released in 1981, with "London Dungeon", "Horror Hotel" and "Ghouls Night Out" being released as 3 Hits from Hell while the "Halloween" single included both "Halloween" and "Halloween II". The band used the remainder of the recordings as demos for their 1982 album Walk Among Us.
The Misfits broke up in 1983, but after a series of legal battles in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Only and Doyle regained the rights to record and perform as the Misfits, sharing merchandising rights with Danzig, who holds writing credits on all of the Misfits material written between 1977 and 1983. Only and Doyle formed a new incarnation of the band and released two albums during the 1990s. During the intervening years, several of the tracks from the August 1980 sessions were released in various mixes on compilation albums: "Halloween" appeared on Legacy of Brutality (1985), "Night of the Living Dead", "Vampira", "Skulls" and "Astro Zombies" appeared on Misfits (1986), and "Horror Hotel" appeared on Collection II (1995). The Misfits box set (1996) contained the most complete collection of songs from these sessions, collecting the complete Legacy of Brutality, Misfits, and Collection II albums as well as a disc of unreleased studio recordings with the original mixes of "I Turned into a Martian", "Skulls", "Night of the Living Dead", "Astro Zombies", "Where Eagles Dare", "Violent World" and "Halloween II" from the 1980 sessions.
In 2001, Caroline Records announced that they would be releasing the complete 1980 sessions on October 30 under the title 12 Hits from Hell, including an alternate take of "London Dungeon", and sent promotional copies of the album to the band members. However, production was called off after Glenn Danzig and Jerry Only expressed concerns with the album's layout, packaging, liner notes, mixing and mastering. All distribution copies of the album were destroyed and only the promotional copies remain. As a result, some copies still managed to reach critics.
On Halloween 2007, Bobby Steele posted his own versions of the 12 Hits from Hell songs, recorded with his band the Undead, as streaming audio through the band's website.
