By the word becoming Flesh, the Incarnation, we mean the Second Person of the Holy Trinity assuming human nature. Our Lord took to Himself a soul and a body and the Second Person was born a man just like you and me. In fact Our Lord was so like you and me that people scoffed at Him and described Him merely as a son of a carpenter, Joseph, a poor man of Nazareth, one of us, nothing to be particularly proud of, the most ordinary of ordinary folk. Fr. Taouk explains how not all God's visitations come with a blessing, it all depends upon how well we are disposed when he comes that determines whether it be a blessing or a punishment.

Fr. Taouk examines the danger of pride and how it hinders our spiritual growth and damages our relation with God and men due to our arrogance making us hateful and blind thus endangering our salvation.

Pope Pius XII published a wonderful encyclical in praise of Our Lady on the occasion of the centenary of the declaration of the doctrine of the Immaculate Conception. The Enyclical is called Ad Caeli Reginam. And in this encyclical he writes about a truth which is implicitly included in the deposit of the faith, not explicitly but it can be deduced from the other dogmas of the faith: the Queenship of Mary over all of creation.
