The Rapture (Harpazo) 1 Thes 4 and 1 Cor 15
The Lord himself, upon a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet will descend from heaven.
The bodies of the dead, who are Christians will be unified with their spirit.
Those who are alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds.
to seize, carry off by force
to seize on, claim for one’s self eagerly
They will meet the Lord in the air
From that moment on they will be with the Lord Jesus forever
Encourage one another with these words – This is meant to be an encouragement for us, not a point of battle.
Four views on the timing of the Rapture (Timing has to do with when it will occur in relation with the Tribulation)
Believers caught away before the Tribulation starts
Believers caught away in the middle of the Tribulation
Believers caught away at the end and then immediately return with Christ
Believers caught away before the bowls of wrath – ¾ of the way through the Tribulation
