In today's episode, we feature attorney, activist, and author, Robyn Gigl as we dissect the intersection between race, sexuality, and civil rights within today's society.
Often, individuals with Autism and other neurodiverse brains are misunderstood because they communicate and express themselves in unique ways.
Join Dr. Chelsea and Dr. Rabun Robertson, OT for a beautiful discussion centered around improving understanding of individuals with Autism and other neurodiverse brains and debunking common ASD myths.
"Occupational Therapy is about using activities that are meaningful to the individual to enhance their independence...it's an authentic approach to healing"-Dr. Rabun Robertson
It was lovely learning more about Dr. Rabun's amazing nonprofit, 2ThumbsUp which connects neurotypical individuals to neurodiverse individuals through fun social activities. Having an Autism Spectrum Disorder can be incredibly isolating, and social isolation has a massive impact on mental health, so the activities help improve the mental health of all parties involved.
"2ThumbsUp is not an Autism organization, it’s a being together organization."-Dr. Rabun Robertson
