Most of us are better at carrying the past than leaving it. Not just the painful parts, sometimes the good parts too. Paul's instruction from prison is one of the most freeing things in the New Testament. One thing. Forget what is behind. Reach forward.

You are not a rough draft. You are not a problem to be solved. Ephesians 2:10 uses a word for what you are that we translate as workmanship, but the Greek word is poiema. You are a poem. Crafted with intention, placed with purpose.

Many Christians carry a quiet voice that sounds like conscience but isn't God. Romans 8:1 is one of the most important sentences in the New Testament. The verdict has been delivered. And it says no condemnation.
