Forest were second best at Craven Cottage as Marco Silva and his team delivered a lesson in tactics and performance, and in truth, the home team could have won by more goals. Emile Smith Rowe's first half header was cancelled out by a goal out of almost nowhere by Chris Wood, but despite a change in formation and tactics, the Reds had no answer for Calvin Bassey's second half effort.
