This week on Full Circle we have two updates for you. First on tonight’s show, we’ll get an update on the case of Timothy Charles Lee, the young man who was found lynched at Concord BART in 1985. Timmy was my cousin and we are organizing the second annual memorial walk for Timmy next Thursday Nov 2nd, the day he was found hung in a fig tree in 1985. Then we’ll hear from the Palestinian Youth Movement. A grassroots, independent community led volunteer organization connecting the young Palestinian Diaspora; PYM has been instrumental in helping organize rally’s in support of stopping the genocide in Palestine.

First Voice Graduate and Funky Man Stevie G steps in to guest hosts last weeks Full Circle. He spoke with Therapist Dr. Monika Davis and Alicia Jones about mental health pre versus post pandemic. He also plays song great music.

This week on Full Circle we will hear from the city of San Pablo in West Contra Costa County as well as Antioch in far east Contra Costa. First activists gathered in opposition to a proposed 43 million dollar police training facility in San Pablo CA, dubbed Stop Cop Campus after the Stop Cop City Movement in Atlanta, we’ll hear from organizers. In the second half of the show, the city of Antioch just signed a historic tenant protection anti harassment ordinance. We'll hear from the signing ceremony and speak with a local activist with Rising Juntos, who were key in getting protections in place.

This week on Full Circle we will be diving into the politics of the National Football League, yes the NFL. On tonight’s show, we’ll hear clips from Dave Zirin's ground breaking film, Behind The Shield; The Power and Politics of the NFL. And we’ll hear an extended excerpt of an interview with filmmaker Dave Zirin and KPFA’s own Davey D of Hard Knock Radio. And of course, we will be asking for your support for this important media outlet, KPFA.

This week on Full Circle we will hear powerful legal and community testimony regarding two police departments here in Contra Costa County. First on tonight’s show, we’ll hear from two attorneys litigating the first serious test of California's new, Racial Justice Act. The new California law is being litigated for the first time here in Contra Costa County. We’ll also hear sounds from the 9 year memorial for Pedie Perez who was killed by Richmond police in 2014. And we will also be asking for your support tonight for this remarkable radio station, KPFA.

This week on Full Circle we speak with independent filmmaker Brian Gibel about his documentary film, Sign My Name To Freedom. A film that rediscovers a past part of the life of Betty Reid Soskin who, many know as the oldest National Park Ranger based here in Richmond CA, But who also had a secret side of her life as a musician and poet, we’ll hear that interview and an extended clip from the film, Sign My Name To Freedom.

This week on Full Circle we will hear sounds from the Save California Salmon event held at the California State Capitol on July 5th. On tonight’s show we’ll hear from tribal people, community activists and other water warriors as they fight to protect our water and salmon from the delta tunnels project.

This week on Full Circle we hear two stories from two local communities here in the Bay Area, both involving police violence and police terrorism. On tonight’s show we’ll hear yesterday's press conference held by the family of Sean Monterrosa, a young man who was gunned down by Vallejo PD from their moving unmarked police vehicle. The officer that fired the fatal shots was fired but was recently rehired. We’ll hear from the family, the family attorney and community activists. In the second half of the show, we will catch up on news out of Antioch California, on August 17th, FBI agents raided the homes of a number of Antioch and Pittsburg police after a lengthy investigation into numerous crimes that were alleged to have been committed. We’ll hear from Antioch Mayor Pro-Tem and District 1 Representative Tamisha Torres Walker.

On the August 25th episode of Full Circle we featured an interview and information about one of our long term colleagues and occasional instructor, Dr. Amelia Barili.
