Explains why he’s not a big fan of the tests that prospects are judged on because it’s not the end all be all.

(38:16-53:22) – The hall of famer Bob Lovell of Indiana Sports Talk makes his weekly appearance on The Fan to share his perspective on some of the latest news in high school basketball between Joey Hart at Linton-Stockton, Warren Central rehiring Criss Beyers as their head coach, and how coaches will get a second chance somewhere if they are able to help themselves get better.       

(59:05-1:00:39) – The first hour of today’s show concludes with JMV highlighting the rumor surrounding the test scores on the S2 Cognition test by the quarterback prospects with CJ. Stroud finishing at the bottom.

(1:04:15-1:32:29) – ESPN Radio’s Mike Wells returns to the Ride With JMV to voice his opinion on how the NBA Playoffs have gone so far through the first two games of all the series, what he thinks of the recent rumblings of the Houston Texans not selecting a quarterback at two, and if he thinks the S2 Cognition test would be something that could play a role into how teams select QB’s.

(1:36:33-1:44:13) – JMV shifts the conversation to the Chicago Cubs because Drew Smyly carried a perfect game into the top of the eighth inning and it ended with his catcher plowing over Smyly as he was making a play on a swinging bunt.

(1:50:15-1:57:40) – Hour number two rounds out with JMV saying he didn’t mind the officials ejecting James Harden last night for the ball tap last night.  

(2:03:43-2:34:02) – The Athletic’s Bob Kravitz joins JMV on a Friday to break down what Chris Ballard said during his pre-draft press conference, how he believes that Houston is not passing on a quarterback at number two, which quarterback he thinks that the Colts will end up selecting come Thursday night, and if he buys into the notion that Ballard knows nothing about what is going to happen in front of the Colts in the draft.

(2:39:48-2:47:22) – JMV focuses this segment on Will Levis and explains why fans are so anti-Levis. Eddie asks JMV if he thinks there will be rioting or angry fans standing outside of the Colts complex if the drafted Levis.

(2:49:25-2:57:31) – JMV closes out the five o’clock hour by giving away a pair of tickets to go see the Baseball Project along with researching the last time that Pearl Jam was in Indiana for a concert.

(3:03:18-3:20:02) – JMV ends today’s show with a little bit of anything goes and let’s producer Eddie Garrison give a shout out to his old radio professor at UIndy in Scott Uecker for announcing his retirement earlier this afternoon after 26 years at the university.
