00:00 – 29:03 – John kicks off another week of The Ride With JMV by discussing IU’s impressive upset of Purdue in Mackey Arena on Saturday. Trayce Jackson-Davis didn’t have a huge game, but he was supported by the pieces around him; John breaks down how that lead to IU’s huge win. One of those big supporting pieces was Jalen Hood-Schifino; John dives into his play as well.  

29:04 – 44:39 – Voice of the Purdue Boilermakers Rob Blackman joins the show to go over Purdue’s loss to I.U, their second shocking loss to the Hoosiers this month. Rob and John discuss what led to IU’s victory, and how the Boilermakers won the rebounding battle but still somehow lost the game by 8. They also look at Purdue’s poor shooting during the contest, especially on the perimeter.  

44:40 – 47:53 – John closes out the first hour by looking at the news that the Washington Commanders have parted ways with former Colts QB Carson Wentz.  

47:54 – 1:20:06 – John opens the 2nd hour by taking some questions from listeners online and through the phones! Some topics include: Should the Colts grab another veteran quarterback to be a bridge player while they presumably groom a young QB, questions on IU and Purdue, and more! John speaks to ESPN Bracketologist Joe Lunardi, who joins to give his opinions and predictions on where teams will be when the tournament begins! Joe also discusses Purdue and how many more wins they need to get to potentially get the #1 seed, as well as IU and where we could see them ranked. They also talk about teams around the nation, including what surprises we could see at the start of the tournament.  

1:20:07 – 1:30:40 – John takes some calls from listeners! 

1:30:41 – 1:38:01 – John closes out the 2nd hour with some questions from listeners online and through the phones! 

1:38:02 – 2:10:59 – Jake Query, host of Kevin & Query, joins the program to talk about college basketball, the NFL Combine, and more! They specifically get into IU and Purdue, and where they are ranked following IU’s upset win over the Boilermakers on Saturday.  

2:11:00 – 2:21:38 – John takes some more calls on all things sports, as well as on some off topic items like 1980’s TV shows!  

2:21:39 – 2:27:55 – John wraps up the show by reviewing the IHSAA Girls State Basketball Finals that took place over the weekend, as well as answering some more questions from listeners online!
