John then speaks to Pacers GM Chad Buchanan! John and Chad discuss where the Pacers are right now, and what they feel good about despite missing the playoffs this year. They talk about the defensive struggles the Pacers experienced this season, and how a lack of experience led to it. They also discuss the play of rookies Andrew Nembhard and Bennedict Mathurin, and how both of them had to adapt and grow as the season went on.

Zak gives his thoughts on if Chris Ballard would potentially be swayed by those comments as well. Zak and John talk about the rumors surrounding C.J Stroud potentially dropping, as well as the chance that the Texans or the Colts bypass QB entirely. John and Zak also get into who the Colts might target on Day 2 of the draft. 

1:09:57 – 1:31:16 – Dave Pirner, lead singer of Soul Asylum, which will be joining Bryan Adams for the Carb Day concert, joins the show! John and Dave dive into Soul Asylum’s career, including their 1992 hit Somebody To Shove! They also discuss Dave’s fandom of the Minnesota Wild, as well as some of their favorite sports movies. Dave also talks about how to stay modern and creative even if the musical landscape is changing.  

1:31:17 – 2:02:24 – Kevin Bowen from the morning show Kevin & Query joins John to pick up the Colts conversation. They talk about how the Colts might finally have some hope when the first night of the draft ends next Thursday. John and Kevin also talk about who has the most say when it comes to picking the Colts next quarterback.  

2:02:25 – 2:09:05 – John looks at the NBA playoffs, and the whole Draymond Green – Domantas Sabonis situation. He also talks about how he would love to see the Pacers in the playoffs at this time next year.
