Greg Rakestraw comes into the studio to talk to John about their Indiana State Sycamores getting a win in the Missouri Valley Conference tournament! He also talks about Indiana recruit Liam McNeely choosing to decommit from the program. John then dives into the Pacers losing yet another game in a way that really makes one question just how good this team actually is.  

27:04 – 43:17 – JMV speaks to Bob Lovell from the legendary Indiana Sports Talk joins the show! John and Bob first dive into Indiana State’s win in the Missouri Valley Conference tournament to advance to the semi-finals! They then turn their attention to the weekend of Indiana high school basketball, and what matchups stand out!  

43:18 – 45:52 – The first hour ends with JMV reading an update on Colts owner Jim Irsay!  

45:53 – 1:13:39 – Mike Wells of ESPN joins the show! Mike and JMV talk about the Pacers loss to the Timberwolves last night, and how once again the Pacers slow start doomed them. They discuss if the Pacers will learn to overcome their issues, or if this is just who they are. John and Mike talk about how these issues could affect the Pacers when the playoffs come around. They then pivot to the Colts, and the draft advice from Colts owner Jim Irsay to his GM Chris Ballard.  

1:13:40 – 1:25:28 – JMV keeps the show rolling by continuing to talk about the Pacers and their slow starts.  

1:25:29 – 1:28:56 – JMV wraps up the 2nd hour of the show! 

1:28:57 – 1:54:50 – Voice of the Hoosiers Don Fischer joins the show to dive into the dark cloud hanging over the program. Don talks about the decision to bring back Mike Woodson, as well as the decision by Liam McNeely to not come to Indiana. Don and John discuss what can lead to a player decommitting from a program. They also talk about what will happen when the season ends, and what Indiana needs to do to try and get back to relevancy.  

1:54:51 – 2:07:08 – JMV answers some questions from listeners on X! He turns to the phone lines and takes some calls from listeners!  

2:07:09 – 2:12:15 – JMV wraps up the 3rd hour of the show by taking some more calls from listeners!  

2:12:16 – 2:33:05 – The show wraps up with Indiana State head coach Josh Schertz calling in following his team’s win over Missouri State in the Missouri Valley Conference tournament! Coach Schertz talks about the incredible support from Indiana State fans this season, not only at home but on the road as well. He and JMV look ahead to tomorrow, where the Sycamores will take on Northern Iowa. They also talk about the toughness of Isaiah Swope, who continues to play through a meniscus injury that will require surgery in the offseason.
