Why human beings have to suffer?

We do not question suffering. We do not question resistance, we experience in daily life. We simply go on seeking relief in the hope as if resistance, discomfort (suffering) will be undone or has been undone by the relief and we will land on a stable ground.

Can we see that no relief can become stable, permanent?

It is only when we see that what we call suffering is only psychological discomfort, if not immediate physical danger or acute physical pain. Not to gloss over this discomfort is the key. Whole energy is concentrated here.

One begins to see 'what is True'.

Issue is not God, but that you face resistance in daily life. Resistance means – your comfort zone is disturbed by sadness, uncertainty, confusion, anger, fear and so on.

Can you stay with this disturbance, this pain, this irritating feeling?

If you can do this, you have touched the current of life - you are one with the evolutionary process of life.

All complications arise as we have separated work as separate from life, from enjoyment. Instead of enjoying, we want to settle in the relief from compulsions, irritations, discomforts.

Any fear, uncertainty, irritation we experience – religious-spiritual or other such ideas are ready to console you. Fusion does not take place.

Mind is exposed to discomfort and uncertainty all the time. You forget this and think that certain possessions, relations or ideas including religious-spiritual can take you away from discomfort and uncertainty.

When you are confused, angry, fearful, anxious – be okay with this fact, the whole energy is concentrated here.

To seek relief, stability through solacing, consoling words is psychological laziness. You can act or not act and see what happens is the endless drama.

Discomfort and uncertainty, if not glossed over, bring you to the point of alertness. You begin to see certainty; begin to see ‘what is True’.

We are carried away by ideas including religious-spiritual as if there is some secret which will give control of our lives to us and we can enjoy stability, stable relief, stable pleasure and so on.

Instead, can we be pragmatic and see the format of life.

Things do not happen as you wish. Thoughts, apprehensions do come to your mind, which you do not like. It means the ‘wishing entity’ is not in control. It means ‘wishing’ and ‘happening’ are related in a frictional mode. Can we bear this friction without any explanation?

Every moment, two possibilities exist. Something ‘you want may happen. It may not happen’. One begins to fight way, cover up, undo, adjust with the possibility of ‘may not happen’. Your energy is dissipated in fighting away this possibility.

Can you see the futility of fighting away this possibility arising in your mind? You are on the total ground. Now your will, what you want becomes clear.

Instead of feeling the uneasiness any problem creates within us, we seek diversion by fanciful ideas like, it is all one’s fate, future will be alright, God will take care and so on or we seek relief by entertainment, intoxications to bypass the feeling of uneasiness. To become aware of the diversion is to stop it.

Now you and the world is seen as one process. You are held in a no escape position in respect of what is happening, what you face. You begin to see 'what is True'.

. There is no one thinking. (when you say-‘I am thinking’, this itself is thinking and not the source of thinking) If one sees this, the idea of controlling, moulding the thinking process drops. The Original ground takes over.

Thought can refer to anything. It can name anything, describe anything. It can not know its own source. It can not know from where it is arising. Any reference about its source will be a thought. You are at the end of the mind. You can not go further.

Thinking can not be used to arrive at-'why something happened which you do not like' or find irritating. Function of thinking is to describe, express. When you see this, you are on the magical ground. You are attuned to supreme relaxation.

Any objective thing of the world including our body or DNA structure is not the sign of one’s being alive. The sign of being alive are ‘feeling’, and ‘naming’, thinking. The ‘feeling’ of friction-‘things are okay’, ‘things are not okay’-is the sign of being alive. Brain can not feel stably okay; an unending friction is in motion.

Human being means-it can ‘feel’ the friction that things are ‘okay’, ‘things are not okay’. He is also Aware that he is feeling this friction, pain. This friction is the ground of unending evolution. Complaining, blaming, feeling guilty does not let one feel the friction. Awareness (supreme relaxation) and unending friction is a singular process, self-sustained process. The illusion escapes the friction by seeking stable relief, stable pleasure through possessions, relations, ideas-hence dullness, decay, death. Becoming aware of the illusion is to drop it-is to experience the wonder of automation of the whole process.

.. ‘You’ is the total field. You and the world is one process.

But I face resistance pain-(any thing you dislike) and uncertainty? How can I be total?

The resistance you feel is also within the totality. Once you absorb the resistance without any explanation-the total field is realized.

You are thinking as if you will come to some clear, definite explanation in respect of ‘what is happening or what you face’. You are carried away by the relief promised by these explanations-including religious-spiritual. Or you simply ignore this question or this question does not arise in you, you remain in your comfort zone.

Unless your relief, your comfort zone is shattered, unless you see that nature of things is such from moment to moment and there is no way to understand by ANY explanation-‘what is True’ is not revealed.

It is quite easy, convenient to slip into some stress relieving, tension relieving device or strategy-music, entertainment, meditation, medication, religious-spiritual activities and so on. Any device, any strategy you choose boomerangs as brain can not stay relieved, stay pleased. One may become addicted to the device or strategy. Instead of slipping into diversions-can one stay with the discomforting feeling and see the emergence of action? The Original may touch you here. This is not to be applied but just watching the process is the key. Stress-relief is seen as an auto process. Now your actions are charged with passion and not bound to compulsion-relief pattern.

We come under the illusion as if result or tomorrow will make us free, free from compulsion, free from confusion, free from discomfort we are experiencing now and stability will come. Can we feel rested now (when there is no immediate danger to life, as any confusion, compulsion, discomfort is psychological discomfort only) and see the emergence of action, see the emergence of imagination. The Original has touched you.

If only for once you touch anger, fear, anxiety, sorrow without any escape, without any explanation, justification, condemnation-you touch the fluid ground, total ground. No philosophy can now entice you. You have touched the current of life.

You are under the illusion as if sorrow and so on are to be covered up or glossed over or thrown away. Nothing can be thrown out of the mind. You are not feeling sorrow, anger, fear, anxiety (uncertainty) but simply trying to throw them away from your mind. This is what causes the trouble.

We have been fed by advices, teachings-

Do not be angry. Do not be sad. Do not have anxiety. Do not have fear and so on.

As if you willingly feel anger, anxiety, sadness, fear and so on and by some advice or practice reverse will happen or these will not arise in future.

All attempts to cultivate non-anger, happiness, non-anxiety, non-fear add to frustration as you are quelling your energy by solaces, explanations.

Anger, sadness, anxiety, fear are normal human reactions on facing something you do not like or something you do not want to happen, happens or on facing uncertainty. Any such situation is psychologically uncomfortable only as your life is not in danger. Can you notice this?

Can you see that you can not throw this discomfort out of your mind? You try to throw it by objecting to your feeling of anger, sadness, anxiety, fear and so on. Once you absorb this discomfort without any explanation-your whole energy is concentrated. Transformation has happened. You are on the Original ground. Now any action is relaxed, conscious.

By what laws, the System of the Universe is operated?

Can you see that this question is the product of thinking? Any answer will simply satisfy or dissatisfy you. It can not go further.

Can you see that thinking is not the total field?

Senses see, touch, listen and so on, breathing in and out is going on, there is memory and imagination and thoughts arising in the mind. Anger, fear, anxiety, happiness are the expressions of Life to keep the mind alive. This is the format of Life. Can one see that there is nothing beyond this?

There is the field of senses (touching, seeing and so on)-bound by time and space and the field of memory and imagination, thinking-fluid, not bound. The field of senses is being renewed every moment. This is total field -the field of senses and the field of memory and imagination.

The friction between this moment and the next gives momentum to life. The friction is unending. When you are relaxed in this moment, whatever be the situation, the image for the next moment (comfortable to you) is automatically created. This is the natural momentum on which brain works. When you are not at rest with this moment, you are trying to fix the next moment to your pattern of satisfaction. You miss the automation. You become busy in fighting an illusory battle.

Then what about ideas about God and so on?

You may name the total field as God but the total field is not an object or something, you can refer. You can not separate yourself from the total field and discuss about the total field. You and the world is a singular process, is the total field.

What ever comes before you including stars, galaxies and so on can not be the source. It is an object. It can have some use, function. To come to the source, the subject (you) is also to be included. To see that subject-object is a singular process rests all seeking.

What is the remedy for all the problems?

To clearly understand the fact that the feeling of uneasiness and uncertainty is part of natural functioning of the brain. You are on the Original ground. Any practice, device to suppress it, to escape it leads to dullness, decay.

When any unfavourable, unpalatable situation arises-brain gathers energy to meet the situation. This gathering of energy may take the form of stress, anxiety, fear or confusion. It labels the gathering of energy as stress, fear, anxiety or confusion as it is in relief mode, sleep mode, it is not prepared for this rising. Can the brain be so activated that it is always in ‘alert mode’? You are in the limitless field. You are on the Original ground.

Nothing can be ‘thrown out’ of the mind including any feeling like fear, confusion, anger. The illusion has taken over as if any discomforting feeling can be removed from the mind or covered up by pleasant, comforting feeling. To see this is to be on the total ground. Transformation happens. You are attuned to supreme relaxation with unending friction to operate.
