It's the most wonderful time of the year!  We are beginning our month of True Crime comics with My Friend Dahlmer.  The backstory of the notorious killer, cannibal, and collector Jeffery Dahlmer.  This is is the story of his High School days, written and illustrated by a fellow classmate who knew Dahlmer fairly well. 

It's the end of our Sword and Scorchy month. This week is the French comic that depicts fairies, fantastical worlds, life, and death. 

This week's installment of Sword and Sorcery month called on the Arthurian legend.  With a character, we all lovingly refer to as "the John Wick of Grandmas".

This week we have some good ole' fashioned Norse ass kicking.  Some early work from some of our favorite creators. Join us for part two of the Rikard series (although you don't have to read book one to enjoy this book, trust us, we didn't).

We talk about the book in this episode, I swear! We discuss a lot of other stuff first.  And we sort of have a split decision on this one, which is also fun. 

Were doing sword and sorcery this month.  We are starting with Monstress a beautiful book about power, corruption, and the main character's road to reclaiming her life after it was torn apart by war. 

It's the origin/backstory to one of the best villains in the MCU.  This week Black Panther's rival returns to Wakanda. 

This week we have a new hero in training. Ironheart takes up the Iron Man gig. 

This week we read what we refer to as "The Good Strange Fruit".  Last year we read something else, while Alaina read this lovely book.  Now we get to read the book she loved.  

We begin our celebration of Black comics with the conclusion of Congressmen John Lewis's autobiographical comic March.  Book three of March deals with the voting rights act and the march to Selma, Alabama.
